Braves president Mike Plant was on a Liberty Media stream to investors. He told them the Braves are set up to win now and that "they're going for it." He added the plan is to compliment the core youth

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Atlanta Sports Fan.

And I want Jeff Bezos to give me half his checking account.

LMAO if they sign Bumgarner then they really are going all in along as they are filling 3B and OF with in house options.

We desperately need another bat.

Offense seemed just fine with Donaldson sucking *** the first half of last year. A lot of teams wish they had Camargo and Riley as internal options. We are just fine even if AA doesn’t bring in a 3b

We are not fine with either of those guys starting 150+ games, sorry.

Also Donaldson didn't suck the 1st half, more like the 1st month.

I'm hoping we can sign Donaldson and acquire an OF via trade. This would be the team to beat in the NL IMO.

I would rather wait for an in season trade if necessary. Let it depend on how advanced Pache and Waters are looking. Prospects are turning into very valuable playoff assets quicker than ever. They also represent financial allocation elsewhere so that surplus value is YUGE. They idea of “going for it” is overblown. The Phillies will prove that once again this year.

That said, if the Pirates take Touki and CJ Alexander for Marte then Mr Waters needs 2 years of that extra special Gwinnett seasoning.

When you have a clear need it's not wise to wait till July when it will cost even more to acquire a player. It won't be any cheaper than Winter.

I also think you are putting far too much faith in the fact that Pache or Waters will even be in ATL this year, much less long enough to make an impact.

I don't think this team goes into Spring without either finding a 3rd baseman or OF capable of hitting middle of the order. If by some chance they do then they are making a big mistake.

Possibly, I have a lot of faith in the youth. How many on this board will fess up to wanting Realmuto? Going into last season with McCann and Flowers was unacceptable to most fans remember? We wouldn’t have our best Pitcher or a kid who was an absolute catalyst for a month. Running away with the East would have been quite a bit more difficult without those two young guns.
