Changes You'd Make for Game 5

21 posts in this topic

Ok armchair coaches...I kid, I kid. Wednesday is do-or-die, winner advance, loser go home. Put yourself in Snit's shoes. What personnel changes, philosophy changes, or other tactics would you change or implement to give our good guys the best chance to win Game 5?

Go!

Dansby needs to move up and Duvall start over Joyce. Never thought I'd say this, but I'd take Weeds over BMac. BMac is just so horrible in the post season.

The young guys are the ones getting it done. Might as well let them run with it and see what happens

He’s gone on cold streaks. Not for certain he’s injured. But if he is, he needs to say he is.

He has gone on cold streaks but his swing has never been as slow as it has been recently.

Started his swing early and caught one but if you watch his swing now compared to at the beginning of the year its completley different. It looks like he is laboring hard. I could be wrong but it just looks to me like he is hurting more than he is letting on.

Freddie has been flat out awful and I know I've been critical of him. Mainly just been super frustrated with him.

But I'm not sitting Freddie Wednesday. It's game 5. If he says he is fine, we have to go with it. He's got too much potential to just sit on the bench. You aren't sitting one of your star players in game 5 when you haven't won a playoff series in 18 years. Not gonna happen.

With a righty on the mound, McCann will be in there tomorrow. I know what the numbers will say about Joyce and Markakis, but I'm tempted to put Duvall in for Joyce. Markakis goes to RF, Duvall in LF, Acuna in CF. Not sure that happens, but that's about the only change I would make.

Unless there are guys on, don't pitch to Goldy or Ozuna.

Maybe easier said than done because of "unless there are guys on". They're the only two guys actually doing something.

I think Duvall in LF for game 5 has also been confirmed already.
