Peter Kings ranking and a few notes on Falcons

25. Atlanta 1-3 (May ranking: 17). Since noon on the February 2017 Pats-Falcons Super Bowl Sunday, Atlanta’s record is 19-20. In that fateful Super Bowl, the one with the blown 28-3 third-quarter lead by the Falcons, Atlanta started Julio Jones, Mahamed Sanu, Jake MatthewsAlex Mack, Matt Ryan and Devonta Freeman among its significant offensive starters. On defense, Grady Jarrett(who tormented Tom Brady all day), Vic BeasleyDeion Jones, De’Vondre Campbell and Ricardo Allen started. Those 11 key starters also started Sunday when Tennessee walked into the Mercedes Benz Dome in Atlanta and whipped the Falcons. A very bad loss. And the seat gets scalding for coach Dan Quinn. Arthur Blank didn’t pay Matt Ryan and Julio Jones a jillion dollars to be 1-3 … or to be absolutely mediocre in the past 39 games. Eleven of the, say, 14 or 15 most significant starters on a Super Bowl team are still playing today, and they are a .500 group. Some of that has to come down to coaching.

Koetter hire didn't feel like Quinn at all. Still on the hook for his awful defense, but this doesn't feel like his team anymore.

Yeah hiring a guy that doesn’t really specialize in WCO and outside zone run blocking taking over to coordinate an offense that’s not native to him is a bad idea.

Except the head coach is the same too...

It is clearly a coaching issue.

We really should hire an offensive minded head coach.  This constant turnover of the offensive coordinators is killing us.

The past few defensive coaches has not improved our defense, so lets help Matt Ryan end his career on a positive note, and give him some dang stability.

if we were losing 10-7 it would be one thing, but we are getting blown out in the 1st half. Thats all on Quinn and his ****** scheme

If I put my tin foil hat on, this makes sense.  Also might explain how lots here have said something looked wrong with Quinn during training camp.  LIke something was off health wise.  Maybe Blank did this to him, and Quinn is mailing it in, as this isn't what he signed up for.

Yeah because that’s whats driving him right individual achievement in a team sport.I swear stats are just for the fans.

What lol? I never said that's what's driving him. He obviously wants to win. I'm just saying, he will go down as the best qb ever for a terrible team in nfl history. He literally has all the records for such. Best qb rating to lost a superbowl? check. Best qb rating to lose a playoff game, not the superbowl? check. Best qb rating to have a losing season? check

This is why we can no longer just wait out the season. Fire DQ now. Stop wasting everyone’s time. Start gathering a list of replacements.

Yep Quinn coaching another games is a waste of everyone's time. Fire Quinn and experiment with the roster to figure what players need to be kept.

It’s hard to gauge Arthur Blank sometimes. He has patience but is also a man of passion as well.(Passionate in regards to life not just sex) Unless it gets really, really ugly the next three weeks. I think Quinn has till the bye unless they have a 35-0 fiasco. If it’s 1-2 or 2-1 then he probably gets the rest of the season. Make no mistake though. Blank leaving the stadium at the end of the 3rd quarter is very telling. He is furious! He loves spending time with the players in the 4th quarter and for him to just leave. He was biting his lip to keep from doing it last night.

I didn't here about that, any links to articles talking about Blank leaving in the 3rd qtr?
