We are a 4th & 3 away from 0-4 with this much talent. Let that sink in.

Or are we really aren't as talented as we think we are? There's multiple former pro bowlers on this team. The Falcons have so many flaws and problems right now the list is too long to make. Some of these problems, such as bad special teams coverage, horrible starting field position, our offensive line/running back not getting a yard, our defense being mediocre as usual, have been problems with the Falcons for several years now, even in the Mike Smith years. The difference is when we had good teams, we got away with these problems but it always came back to hunt us somewhere in the postseason.

Now we have a s**t ton more problems than ever before. Matt Ryan is old. Julio Jones is getting old. Alex Mack is old now. Matt Bryant as great as he is we have to draft a new quality kicker ASAP. Devonta Freeman was built perfectly for Shanahan's offense but with Koetter (including 2014) and Sarkisian, what has Freeman really done? Trufant, nothing more than an average corner, he's never been elite, always been average and good enough to be a solid starter, but in Trufant's 7 seasons with the Falcons, he's only been in the postseason with us ONCE, that was in 2017. He was injured in our Super Bowl run, and we missed the playoffs in 2013-2015, 2018, and now it's going to be 2019.

The Falcons need a more physical offensive line, we're working on that, but the overhaul of the O-line may have come at a worse time. Maybe it'll benefit us the next few years, but we don't know for sure yet. Along with our offensive line, we need a bigger workhorse back who weighs more and can help us run out clock better to help the defense, not light weighted guys like Freeman or Ito. Freeman and Ito are good, but we need to draft a fresh big workhorse back, like another Turner, or a Blunt, a Chubb, a Henry, behind a big physical O-line. Freeman was mostly built for Shanahan's offense like I said previously. A bigger workhorse back is built more for the current offense we have now.

Last but not least, I don't care what QB we draft, if we don't have the previous I mentioned along with an ELITE DEFENSE or a TOP 10 DEFENSE for once who has a lot of fire lit up on them with great leadership. We will never win the big one. Defense wins championships. Enough of the mediocre sorry defenses in Atlanta with no leadership at all and a lot of sorry players who can't tackle or make good plays consistently. We're not getting anywhere with this current defense. We need to draft better, bigger and more physical guys up front and in the secondary. Just having Grady Jarrett, Deion Jones, and Ricardo Allen is not enough.

I mean eagles should have beaten us , we were lucky to have won that game

Noooooo we should have won that in a canter but for our mistakes made it close.

No excuses the 3 losses though poor execution and discipline.Still can’t run the ball still.

Offense is our identity but we have had 2 guys since KS who can’t figure out how to use what we have.

Yet even against the Eagles Matt threw 3 interceptions and Carson Wentz was only inches away from inevitably executing the game winning drive. This team has not looked good at all this year.

Inches away? Aghular had the 50 yard game winning TD with no defender in sight. But he dropped it. Would have been epic

and this is the first game of the season Matt Ryan throws no INT's, yet he had ZERO TD's today, and the offensive stalled itself every time it got in field goal range or the redzone. Yep, it's been an issue for the Falcons the past 3 seasons now. Red zone issues, which was an issue in 2015 too. So outside of 2016, the Falcons have had redzone issues time and time again, but this current Falcons team has more problems than ever before. Right now the Panthers, Saints, and Bucs are much better than us.

The offense was actually quite good in the 2nd half of the Colts game and we are just a lucky bounce of a football off a goalpost by Vinatieri of being at least tied in that game.

I am not saying we should be 4-0 with our play this year, but we have only been really blown out in the Vikings and Titans game today.  Something has got to change on this team and quick but most would have laughed in April if one would have suggested the Braves would win the division easily.

He fumbled. He threw the ball over 50 times too. All these personal stats are meaningless. Over 400 yards in passing and whipped by a garbage team.

I keep hearing ‘all this talent’ and again I ask what talent?

If being athletic is talent then every NFL team is loaded.

QB

2 WRs (And Sanu is one of them)

MLB

DT

C

Other than that it’s all subjective.

Maybe you can add another 2-3 guys but other than that I don’t see this talent.

Sure a couple of guys flashed the Eagles game but they’ve disappeared in all the others.

We need to take Grady, Deion, McGary, Lindstrom, Julio, Ridley, Sanu and maybe Hoop, get a young QB yo learn from MR2 the rest of his contract and blow the rest up. The secondary needs rebuilt, the D line outside of Jarrett needs rebuilt. We need a true nose and legit ends.

I don't know if the Falcons can improve from here in the off season. Due to the hard salary cap on many players on offense, I don't see us improving anytime soon unfortunately.
