Dirtybird3 2,677
I was gonna start it's own thread, but. Just curious, why is Senat even on the team? Not saying he's trash, but I can't even remember the last time I've seen him active or on the feild. Or heard a legit reason as to the reason for his lack of use ATLSlobberKnockers, UK13, shock and 1 other

MAD597 7,497
We are so stupid for benching Ollison when our run game is suffering. A decent coaching staff would at least try him out to see how he performed. Our ideal RB rotation is going to be Ito and Ollison. They do try him out, every day at practice, with a very competent coaching staff on who should and shouldn't be active on game day. Maybe it's performance, maybe it's grasp of the game plan that week, but to think that the coaching staff isn't in a constant state of evaluation for the 45 active is intellectually inaccurate. Practice and real game are not the same. In a real game I can see Luke Stocker sucks yet we keep trotting him out there like he’s Tony Gonzalez.

Agree, but to insinuate that practice doesn't give a good indication on other factors that play into the decision making, is just not true. The statement, "they should at least try him out" isn't how the NFL game day actives work, and goes way beyond how someone performs in live action versus practice. Flyin' In DC 2,110
Hill is active because we need a kick returner. Ollison really cant provide that. Before we chalk this up at a loss let's see what Hill does

Ollison got a ton of carries in preseason but almost all were in the 2nd half against a lot of guys who are reserves and current free agents. He'll get his chance...hopefully he won't be like Hill and still waiting for consistent ops after two seasons. Truth is with Ito and Free playing, Hill may not see a single rep. It took 3 games and an injury for them to realize maybe we can use somebody else at returner and have a 3rd runningback active on gameday in case of emergency. We played 75% of last week with one runningback. They make questionable decisions. They aren’t perfect in their thinking.

It may not matter whether it's Hill or Ollison. So far Quinn/Koetter have used only two backs. Barner was up next after Ito got the concussion. Ito is playing so if they keep the same pattern, Hill won't get any carries and the same would go for Ollison if he was active.
