Sanu is a HOSS

29 posts in this topic

Throws harder and farther than most NFL QBs.

Can kick FGs.

Recovers fumbles.

Gets tough yardage after the catch to keep the chains moving.

Blocks on run downs.

And knows when Julio is gonna take it to the house on national TV.

Hope we can work out some kind of agreement to keep him in the future. I just like his come to work and do what it takes to win mentality.

Some on this board want to trade him for an untested draft pick.

I know they think that’s a good idea, but I think they are wrong.

His block on Julio's 2nd TD was very good, but his fumble recovery was ridiculous, he had no business recovering that ball

Saved us there.

DQ said Sanu was their emergency Punter if Bosher couldn't go at all.

UNFORTUNATELY...it's gonna be hard to keep him next year. Just sayin'...you pretty much have to extend/restructure him and let Hooper walk.

If it's a one-or-the-other situation, sorry, but I gotta let Hoop walk and keep Sanu.

I mean, couldn't Sanu just play TE too? He can do everything else, and he is a stout mf'er

Provides way too much versatililty ~ and I'm talking high-quality ~ to let him go and keep Hooper.

REAL BEAN TALK! Sanu has been great for us. From day one I loved how every catch he ends violently, puts his head down and goes for a couple more.

ALSO, lets not forget who really was responsible for bringing the black throwbacks!!!

I seriously only noticed Sanu's celebration when I re-watched the game this morning. I absolutely busted up when I realized. At first, I thought he was mad that he was the victim of a penalty or something. After I realized, I was in awe of our offense on that play.

Matt called the perfect audible...and he KNEW it.

Jake Matthews just wiped a dude out. That guy was down for a while afterward.

Julio circles to where the block's made and then zooms to the end zone.

And Sanu knows the play, does his job, and then celebrates, barely even looking up at Julio because he's so confident in his teammate's ability.

That play is what perfect offense looks like.

I'm starting to believe that both sides will find a way.

Was fully expecting him to take over punt duties for bosher last night

None. The dude literally materialized in the middle of the play. That was a sure Eagles recovery and then in comes #12 from freaking nowhere like he’s sliding into home base.

I love Sanu's reactions after he gets tackled, he jumps up and gets all pumped/trashtalking. Its a wonder if he doesnt get the falcons some 15 yard personal fouls from the opposing team. He gets me laughing when he does that lol

Aint gonna lie there are a few high priced birds Id rather lose than Sanu.

If Free either doesn't bounce back or if Ito keeps stepping up, we might let go of Free and maybe restructure Tru to move his cap hit down...

I just don't know what we'll do but I think the Falcons might value keeping Hooper long-term instead of Sanu given their ages and Calvin's emergence. True, some guys will have to do the dirty work instead of Sanu but it's a tough spot because we have so many guys to pay now.

ALL of that said, if we can keep Sanu another year or 2? I'm down.

Man, you nailed it, perfect offense. They ran same play in first quarter and got swamped, but the audible put it in place. 4th down under pressure execution lawd. Cant imagine how good that felt for Matthews, bet he and his dad had an eye to eye moment from 100 yards away.

The shovel to Freeman was on point as well, wonder if was an audible. Hope variable plays are ran/ created from these as surely will be DC planned moving forward.

The Hooper hot pass was brilliant as well, he is gonna have a monster year
