Posted September 15 Dodgers lost so the Braves are once again within 3.5. They just cant seem to get over the 3 back hump.
Posted September 15 It's been six hours and I'm still PO'd about that Culberson call. No official word, but it sounds like a broken cheekbone. The good news seems to be that there's no break the jawbone, he didn't lose any teeth, and there was no damage to the eye. Again, all unconfirmed at this time. sdogg and AF89 like this

Posted September 15 A win today would mean the Braves could clinch the East on Tuesday. Braves are off tomorrow, Nats go to the red hot Cardinals. A Nats loss tomorrow would set up a win and clinch scenario on Tuesday at SunTrust.
Posted September 15 Considering how the first 3 against the Nats went, we have dominated them since then. 11-4 in the last 15 against them and 11-7 on the year. Clinched the season series against the Nats, Marlins, and Mets right now and can win the Phillies one by taking 2/3. That's how you win the division... you beat the teams in it lol youngbloodz likes this

I'm glad that the Braves changed their mind about sending Julio up there to bunt after that happened. Good call by Snitker and company on that front. With the way Rodney was all over the place, didn't need to chance it.
Posted September 15 Snitker just told the media Culberson has multiple fractures. He is in better shape than expected and returned to the hotel last night. Hes on his way to Atlanta today to meet with specialist including an optometrist to determine if surgery is needed.
Posted September 15 Dave Martinez is reportedly planning to reach out to Snitker before the game. The Nationals have also called an 11:30 press conference for Dave Martinez.

Posted September 15 Riley replacing Freeman. He got 1B work early in the year and now with Culberson gone itll be Riley as the primary backup at 1B. I imagine hes going to get more than a few innings at 1B over the final 2 weeks. He'll reportedly get some work at 3B to freshen up there with Camargo out as well. Also wouldn't surprise me to see Nick get some innings at 1B as well since he's got limited experience there. Losing Camargo and Culberson from the infield really really really really really hurts. Thank God the Braves got Hechavarria now because he's the only backup middle infielder the Braves have now.
