Neal and D. Jones were pretty rusty coming off of injury.

Mannnnn they were rusty and it showed. It will take a couple of weeks for our defense to get back in sync; If I had to guess it would be about 6. We will definitely be a top unit in the NFL but our 2-3 levels definitely has to get it together. That’s what happens when your starting lineup is a circus on those levels for most of last year.

Deion was good. Keanu looked explosive, just a bit of rust from his absence.

I honestly saw something different because both looked good to me. But then again I have poor judgement of players

Jones looked good to me.... Neal looked rusty... he didnt get cook on that run to the left that was almost a touchdown... bad angle in my eye test... something he usually doesn't miss and ends up in talk for loses!! He will be back!

Looked to me that Neal just didn't have the speed yet. Poor angle due to expecting gear 5 but he could only reach 4.

Missed contain trying to hard to crash the pocket. bad angles, poor tackling. All correctable in my opinion.

This week should be a whole lot more passing defense and less run defense.

I was thinking the same thing about them. Neal looked real good. I think Debo may have been dazed by Cook.

Could be it. I was expecting him to fly in and have his signature huge tackle.. I'm holding out hope. We got hit with some hard teams early so we need to come out of it.. so we be better as the season continues..

Also, due to them being out so long, many coming back from IR or new, few playing many snaps this pressing together, the loud stadium was hard for communication. They didn’t have their non verbal communication all down yet I’m sure. We can communicate better in atlanta until we all get it down

Neal needs to tighten up. I don't see all these 1-st round picks having the longevity with think they will in the long run and if Keanu doesn't tighten up his game by working equally at his coverage ability as he does big hits then to me he's making himself expendable.

Debo looked pretty good even though he got flatlined by Cook. Glad to see him avenge it by smacking Cook pretty hard in the backfield later in the game. Neal was ok he did look kinda slow but he never played all that fast to me anyway. Still brought the hammer and I expect him to get back to speed soon.

Does everyone realize jones wasn’t out all last year, like Neal and Rico were?

I think its more about him not playing in PS because of rehabbing injuries

I expected some rust from returning players and guys that didn't play many snaps pre season. Also, from the OL since this was the first game that line up had played together. It was just tough for that to be on the road against that defense. The turnovers hurt a lot as well.

The entire team looked rusty. It did not go well but it should get better in the coming weeks. Sunday will be tough but hopefully being home can help them get over.
