did I miss something?  Why would Gono not be able to go?  is he injured?

He was listed on the injury report with a “back” injury.

Sorry but this is wrong. It's between Gono and McGary. DQ said himself if Gono can't go, Ty will be the swing.

Funny because I just saw the tweet and quote and was gonna come back here like uhhhh what?

Gono not being ready concerns me. McGary is the future but he’s likely not fully in game shape

Sucks but this is one of those things about football gotta deal with

Have to hope Ty can be serviceable as last year. Makes sense not throwing McGary  out there tho just to get snatched and inserting Ty, for conditioning/ reps.

This is EXACTLY why you want an offense that just doesn’t pass the ball well, but that can play smash mouth run the ball down your throat if it desires.

With Stocker, Keith Smith, Lindstrom and a big boy at LG who can blow up a defensive tackle in James Carpenter, and good depth at RB with some size to come in and spell Freeman and wear down a defense, Mularkey focusing hard on this for Sunday’s game, I’m less worried about Ryan getting killed because he’s constantly in passing situations.

Make no mistake about it, our OL is still not in sync yet, so this is going to be a defensive slugfest I’d think.

I watched it again and he said if Gono can't go that Ty has played swing tackle and he will be ready to go.

Swing tackle is a backup. Not a starter.
