Posted September 1 In a bit of sad news, we will not be receiving the 7th Rounder that the Pats offered us for Saubert. He needed to be on the 53 for four games but he was cut by them so we get nothing and he effectively becomes an early cut. I really feel bad for the guy as being traded to another team during preseason kind of sucks as it can take time to pick things up. That said he had all the opportunity in the world here and Graham's play made him look bad... Especially since the Graham was playing LB in 2017 and in one year and a preseason surpassed Saubert. vitaman and Cheap Talk like this

On a serious note, a 7th rounder which would likely be near the end of the draft isn’t that important Monolith2001, Ovie_Lover and Flying Falcon like this

Posted September 1 A TE will get hurt somewhere this season and hopefully he will be at the top of the available list?
Posted September 1 That's the risk they took. Oh well, 7th rounders usually don't make it anyways.

Posted September 1 (edited) Why wouldn’t we get the 7th round pick? It’s not our fault they cut him. What kind of dumb rule is this? It’s a loophole rebate? Edited September 1 by BirdGangATL Flying Falcon likes this

Not sure if it's a joke I don't get about him playing on in 2017, but Jaeden Graham was a t.e. At Yale and on our p.s. Last season. He was at Yale in 2017. gazoo likes this

No, I think it’s over for Saubert, he just doesn’t have the confidence as shown by his regression this camp. This was there year he either was going to step up and utilize his amazing athletic gifts, or prove he just doesn’t have what it takes mentally and emotionally to be a professional. Last year he was lighting it up in passing game in camp and preseason drawing praise from Ryan, TD and Dan Quinn by making all kinds of great catches as he did in college, but he got shelved during regular season and seems to have lost confidence. It’s awesome we found Graham to take his roster spot. I rewatched the JAX game last night and Graham did a pretty good job in blocking. That first TD run with Ollison hitting the edge, Graham did a good job of blocking what appeared to be a much bigger DE out of the play.

Posted September 1 At least his Girlfriend at training Camp was worth the pick. On a serious note, I really hoped that he could have been a major factor in the passing game, but guess that FO values blocking and with Hooper in the roster, Saubert doesn’t offer much variety.
