That's a real **** move IMO.

You telling me he couldn't have done this before FA or the draft? He had to have known then.

When did Luck suffer the high ankle sprain?

He may had just found out that it was much worse than expected.

He said he just made the decision two weeks ago. After ANOTHER injury.

A ***** move is the colts not giving him a line until it was too late.

He said it was the mental scars from 2017 coming back that did it.

But they did give him one and he quit when he got it.

Dude acts like he has PTSD.

Sad to hear that it had such a negative mental impact on him.

This could also be an indictment on the Colts training staff, therapists, and doctors.

I have a feeling that Elway will purposely bump into Luck at a Stanford gathering in 2-3 years.

Hopefully Luck heals up and finds his fire again mentally.

Dawn, you have a devious mind.  And I dig that about you!!

Ask Derrick Carr.  Dude could have been way better than his lil bro.   Threw one of the prettiest balls ever.  But he was shell shocked and simply couldn’t recover mentally.

This game is far more mental than physical, especially at QB.

I mean I'm not gonna call it PTSD but playing behind ****** lines has screwed up many a QB. Throws their internal clock off. Phantom pressure.

Yep

David Carr got killed.

I think if Ben Roethlisberger had not won 2 SBs and was on a basically constant contending team, that this would've been his fate some seasons ago because he use to get beaten up quite a bit before the Steelers fix their o-line woes.

Yeah and I don't believe getting tackled in a sport that you know you're are going to get tackled in causes it.

Especially nearly 2 years later.

idk I guess we just view it differently and that's fine.

Just feel like his timing could have been much better is all.

PTSD can be suffered by anyone from combat vets to librarians.

It's a syndrome, not a choice. And it's not restricted to certain  occupations.

How so? Even with his injury issues, the dude was still great. I honestly don’t understand everyone’s hate towards him on here. He was a top half QB from day 1. A disappointment at #1 would be Bradford or Carson Palmer. Luck is leagues ahead of either of those guys. Over the last 10 years of #1 picks that were QBs, Luck is the best one. You could extend that several years and that would still be true.

Hardly stayed healthy, outside of couple of years of teams success not much. Over all you judge with production not potential or talent.

Well if he just decided on it what do you want him to do? Play out the year and then do it?

You ever fall out of love when you know it's bad for you and time to separate? It isn't just an easy cut and stop. It takes time to cut the leash. Dude stopped loving the game wayyyy before he got hurt.

I’m happy for Andrew playing in the NFL you can’t be halfway in and if his heart was saying he needed to leave the game then that’s what he should do. I heard he has a child on the way and I’m sure with all the injuries he’s endured throughout his career it must have crept into his head that he wanted to be as healthy as possible for his family. I hope he has a prosperous post career, I really enjoyed watching him play, he was one of my favs

Side note about my number one favorite player, Matt Ryan, he’s amazing and my appreciation for him and what he’s done for this city and team grows by the day. Here’s a guy who doesn’t miss time, was blessed with the physicality and willpower to withstand punishment, he’s grinded through bad o-lines, bad defenses, playoff losses which included the toughest SB loss anyone has ever suffered but no matter what he always, ALWAYS gets up off the mat, Matt is just made of the right stuff.

Once again I'm not gonna call it PTSD but we have seen so many players change after a concussion or an injury.

"He was never the same after such and such injury" isn't always because of the physical ramifications of said injury.

Yeah I’ve never heard about it before. I don’t know if I want to check that out.

Yeah, I don't know if I want to know the full details about that or not either.
