Quarterback:  – Matt Ryan and Matt Schaub. That was easy.

Running backs:  – Devonta Freeman, Ito Smith, Qadree Ollison and Ricky Ortiz . Brian Hill does not make the cut in a crowded backfield, let the Ollison experiment begin.

Wide receivers:  – Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, Mohamed Sanu, Russell Gage, Justin Hardy and Marcus Green. Green makes it over a talented group by virtue of being drafted by the regime.

Tight ends: : Austin Hooper, Luke Stocker., Logan Paulsen and Jaeden Graham. 4 TE? Yes. Graham has proven to be a potent weapon lined up with Hooper in a 2 TE set, Stocker (FB) and Paulsen (OL) bring versitility.

Offensive line: : Jake Matthews, Alex Mack, Chris Lindstrom, James Carpenter, Kaleb McGary, Jamon Brown, Ty Sambralio., Matt Gono, and Wes Schweitzer. ROT? Who knows but we finally have depth olong the line (C'mon Kaleb!)

Defensive line:  – Grady Jarrett, Vic Beasley, Takk McKinley, Jack Crawford, Tyeler Davison, Allen Bailey, John Cominsky, Adrian Clayborn and Deadrin Senat. I could be persuaded to find a spot for Larkin, think these other guys have earned their spats.

Linebackers:  – Deion Jones, De’Vondre Campbell,Foye Oluokun., Duke Riley and Jermaine Grace. 5 guys. light yes? Oluokun needs to shine, Grace is coming on and looks like Chris Draft 2.0. Can Riley keep the fire lit? Love to see him make the jump and prove us all wrong.

Cornerbacks:  – Desmond Trufant, Isaiah Oliver, Damontae Kazee, Kendall Sheffield. Blidi Wreh-Wilson, Jordan Miller. Could be persuaded to carry 7.

Safeties: : Keanu Neal, Ricardo Allen, Kemal Ishmael,Sharrod Neasman and Chris Cooper. what's the over/under on 22 getting thrown out of games?  6? 8? Hope he never changes.

Specialists:  – Matt Bosher (punter) and Josh Harris (long snapper) Matt Bryant (Yes, we bring him back)

Right now I have a hard time seeing 4TEs plus Ortiz - all three backup TEs can play FB.

After Thursday, Barner have to be almost considered as a lock to make the 53.

If Green is not the returner I cant see him making the 53. Has he played a snap on offense?

You may be right. Thinking 1 full-time FB on the roster is guaranteed in this offense.

Barner has some skills, that is a very crowded group. Ollison is going to make the team and that leaves somebody out.

You might be right about Green as well, but this front office has shown an unwillingness to part with draft picks even when they could develop them on the PS.

Hill was a draft pick but you see what they did with him his rookie season.

No doubt Ollison makes it. That’s all Murlarkey.

I see the backfield as Freeman, Smith, Ollison, and Barner (ST).

Agree with others but not sure about these.

Running backs:  I am not sure there is a "battle".  Seems odd that both Brian and Ito have only taken 1st half snaps while Q has taken almost all 2nd half snaps with TBJ cleaning up.  I personally think we will keep all three RB2s.  I don't think Ito was ever in danger and would not be shocked if the team holds Hill in higher regard than some fans.

Wide receivers:  I believe we will carry six.  I don't think we've seen enough from Green to warrant the spot and I don't think there's been a major case that he would be highly sought on the waiver wire.  I am penciling in OZ as WR6 but the team could elect to keep Barner (who can do what we hoped Green would do for us -- returns and gadget stuff).

Tight Ends:  If we carry 4 TE, we don't need to carry a dedicated FB,

Specialists:  Barring GT missing a number of regular season kicks, Matt Bryant will be with us only in memory.
