So what does Dirk Koetter think about our offense?

Mike Tice. One of the greatest Oline coaches ever.

Interesting how Koetter started out saying "the Falcons" did this or that. I thought he doesn't plan to be here very long.

Then he went on to say "we" around the middle of the podcast.

Loved him on hard knocks.

Was sad when they let him go but the guy we have now isn't that bad IMO.

Very good interview. Interesting nugget - he said Gage and Blake was fighting for WR 4 and 5. He seems to like Sanu alot. Probaby wont keep all 5 backs, which we all knew. Sounds like Hooper will have a bigger role in the offense with Mularky on board. Tice is a big Freeman fan. Like his comments about Matthews - says hes now bigger and stronger.

He only said "the Falcons" when he was referencing events that happened when he wasnt with the team.

For those who can’t listen, here is what he said.

WR: Very close  battle with Gage and Blake at 4th and 5th WR.

Gage is good gunner and corner on ST.

Hardy is good in 10 Personnel and great ST player.

( I won’t be surprised if Falcons keep 6 WR).

RB: Brought up Ito as tough runner behind Freeman. Hill had good off season.

High on Barner in return game and screen. Ollison is big strong runner. DK said the falcons may not keep 5 backs.

( IMHO, Falcons will probably cut Ortiz and the last RB position may come down to keeping an extra RB or WR).

Biggest props to Mohamed Sanu. Very underrated player, does everything in slot and also physically tough to do dirty work in the middle.

On OL falcons got bigger, high on Lindstorm and Kaleb.

Jake Mathews has grown big and strong compared to his rookie year. He is a man.

The usual coach talk on Qb.
