The Braves snatched defeat from the Jaws of Victory in what could have been another late-game, come-from-behind win after Ronald Acuna's 9th inning, game-tying Home Run. Leaving runners on 2nd and 3rd in BOT 9, newly-acquired Shane Greene continued his poor performance by allowing a 3-run HR to light hitting catcher, Tucker Barnhart. Instead of taking the four-game set 3-1, Atlanta finished 2-2 and now heads to play a red-hot Minnesota squad.

Since dropping two out of three from the Yankees, Minnesota has taken care of business against the dregs of Major League Baseball by taking 8 of 10 from the White Sox, Marlins and Royals while stretching their lead over the Cleveland Indians to 3-games. In what has an outside shot to be a World Series preview, the Twins have reshuffled their starters to line up All-Stars Jake Odorizzi and Jose Berrios in the first 2 games, while sliding Perez to Game 3.

WHO'S HOT

Adam Duvall .400 AVG, 1.307 OPS, 7 XBH, 8 RBI, 2/13 BB/K in 35 At-Bats since returning from AAA

Nelson Cruz .333 AVG, 1.372 OPS, 17 XBH, 26 RBI, 11/21 BB/K in 75 At-Bats since the All-Star Break

WHO'S NOT

Johan Camargo .170 AVG, .505 OPS, 2 XBH, 1 RBI, 5/9 BB/K in 47 At-Bats since the All-Star Break

Martin Perez 0-1, 6.00 ERA, 1.52 WHIP, 8 HR in 4 starts since the All-Star Break

INJURY NOTES

Jacob Webb was activated from IL and optioned to AAA Gwinnett

Dansby Swanson could miss the rest of the week in recovering from bruised heel

What the **** does Culberson have to do to get a start?

Beat me to it. Is the starting pitcher a right-y?

Tonight might be our best shot to win a game in this series with Soroka going.  Wednesday night maybe also.  Little chance tomorrow imo with Folty against Berrios

I don't think I could do that with a whiffle ball.

If our guys can be patient i like our chances. Dude has nasty stuff but it rarely finishes in the zone. Gotta make him throw a fastball.

Anthopolous wouldnt commit to Folty staying. He basically said if he performs he stays if he doesnt then AAA has a roster spot.

I'm liking AA's aggressive approach lately.
