Nice and just saw Acuna come out of the game so you know he won't be playing tomorrow against the gNats

gNats are thumping LAD so that's a 5.5 game lead heading into DC with half our lineup likely out and our pitching somehow ****tier than the last time we met.

Too bad Newcomb was off (even if he was victimized by a cheap HR), but our behind (and also way ahead) pitching (as Tomlin counts as that) ahahahahaha.

That's a big reason why we're not going to have a run differential matching our record unless we have a major slump (knocking on wood). We get way behind, put in guys that just blow it up, or we let up runs in games that were long over (like yesterday as I seriously wasn't nervous at all yesterday while others were having a panic attack, I know, I'm maybe bad, since I saw the Cubs come back while down 10 last year).

This might end up looking like how some of last year's second half games looked. Get behind big, try to come back, but let up another run or two.

Well, we won the series against the Phils. Next stop is D.C. It's going to be an interesting series there. We won't face Strasburg and possibly not Scherzer due to his back problems.

Just keep winning the series.  It’s good that Ender is back and seems to have his swing back, especially with Acuna being a possible question mark for a bit.  Get us more bullpen arms AA!

Acuna said he plans to start tomorrow.

Good news, we lose him and this offense shuts down.

Gausman said he tried a couple of curves that didnt work and two cutters. The rest was fastball, slider. Not going to cut it with it two pitches. While on the IL he admitted he was stubborn. Well, fix it now, convert to a RP or go play golf and work games in the Orioles broadcast booth.

Didn’t get a chance to watch the game.   From the boxscore, looks like Gausman was back to normal.....awful.

The strikezone was widly inconsistent.

He made some good boarder line pitches that could....and should have been strikes.

The grandslam did him in....which was partially a direct result of that inconsistent strike zone.

Nola was good....but he got alot of help from the ump....particuarly on Donaldsons 2nd strike out

grand slam was brutal after loading the bases and getting 2 outs

Giving up 3 straight hits to start the inning is what did him in on that. Also he gave up 2 hits to Nola who had 1 hit all season. Strike zone aside, Gausman didn't pitch well.

The hits certainly got him but the strikezone can not be aside.

He made some good pitches to strike out Harper and to get Hoskins to pop up.

Had he gotten the same calls that Nola got then there is a great chance that he gets out of the mess....there is a massive difference between 2-1 and 3-0 with bases loaded

He did not pitch as bad as as the stat line would indicate...that said he needs to use those other pitches that he worked on....he was hit often on first pitch because they guessed correctly....which is not hard when there are only 2 options

We'll have to agree to disagree.
