Not since 2001 and 2002.

But I'm not the one crying on national TV demanding that the government take money out of taxpayers' pocket to give even more money to 9/11 victims (ie...more than $7 billion).

If he's that emotional about it where are the "Benjamins"?  How much has he donated?

Sounds like charity isn't very effective then.

Jon Stewart:  Boohoo I want to give to charity with other people's money!

Typical liberal logic.

He's rich, he needs to pony up and contribute to 9/11 charities and stop being a hypocrite.

This is a pretty good distillation of libertarianism:

More concerned about yourself than funding a program designed to help 9/11 first responders and saying people who wanted it funded are hypocrites for not donating to charities that you yourself have not donated to in decades.

******* scumbags.

Well I think people that force people to pay for other people's **** at gunpoint are scumbags.

Once again agree to disagree.

Like, how much of a **** do you have to be to think you're the victim here?

I'm not a victim here.

I just think charity should be handled by charity.  Not the government.

They're clearly not working if they need this program. The "charity will fix this" people aren't helping if they haven't donated in decades.

You just want them out of mind so you don't have to deal with it. You'd prefer to just let them die than support them.

Steve hates first responders.  Imagine siding with Osama Bin Laden over the Americans who sacrificed their lives on one of the worst days in our country's history.  Anti-American af....

"The government shouldnt do anything to help the people whose lives were ruined on 9/11.  Pardon me while I go support spending trillions of dollars invading a country that had nothing to do with 9/11".

Who hates America?  I forgot...

How about we leave charity to charity.

The government's job is not charity.  Plus taxpayers (and borrowing) have already paid out $7 billion to 9/11 victims.

Please donate to a 9/11 fund if you want to help the victims.

So we now have a price tag on first responders?

He just put a price tag on their lives so there is that.

wonder how much our Troops that defend us are worth to him.

What's your price tag?  How much have you given to 9/11 charities?

You need to remember the real victims here:

People who don't want to help others.

No it's people who don't want to help others with other people's money.

Pony up and donate to a 9/11 fund PG so that you're not a complete hypocrite.

I do with my tax money. Likewise, tax funded programs seem to be far more reliable than charity if we're judging by your charitable givings to this cause.

OK OK I am willing to compromise on the budget...

$5 billion more for 9/11 victims
AND
$5 billion for a wall along the Mexican border

Deal?

Deal?

How about we abolish ICE and use their budget for the 9/11 victims.
