Yeah there are several guys on the vent/vault who may or may not have some kind of connection but often post something right after it pops up on 247. It’s so weird. Otherwise the vent is way better than the 247 cesspool boards and comment sections. But 247 has a similar problem with some people making stuff up and posting nuggets from rivals staffers.

The tension between rivals and 247 is so goofy to me.

yep 247 is just horrible... the trolling is bad and rusty and jake many times will post just crap even though they really don't have a true update.. one update was like this guy may or may not visit uga and it was just so stupid, but we have talked about that before regarding 247 making crap up just to fill space.  the worst uga fans are on that board.

Did he get his feelings hurt when Cine started over him in the Sugar Bowl?

He got passed up before then. Probably good enough to play almost anywhere though. Hard to blame him for leaving... kinda the risk we have to live with by recruiting the way we do every year.

He never really flashed.. Always read he was a hard hitter, but never really saw it.. What'd he have, 3 tackles?

So proud of Herrien and I hope he has himself a career in the league. Came a long way from being that kid who had to bury his head in the books just to get eligible to be a Dawg to begin with.

Dude wont be a big name in the NFL but I could easily see him having a Snelling like career. Probably better, he could be a great backup guy.

Sooo, apparently this is new info released from the Mays' lawsuit against UGA...

Quote

The document states that there “was a significant impact on Mrs. Mays’ life, and her life with the whole family.” The document states that Mrs. Mays had to take over the duck hunting and horse hay businesses her husband operated as “Mr. Mays was not able to help in matters at all, as he was in so much pain. Indeed, he wasn’t even able to discuss or to help solve any problems because the pain was so overwhelming.”

The document goes on to say that “Mr. Mays was unable to help with their youngest child, Camp, who is three-years old. He wasn’t able to help bathe him, change diapers or feed him. The saddest part is that he wasn’t even able to hold him.”

It continued: “Their middle son, Cooper, was in high school, playing football on the varsity squad. Rather than being able to enjoy the usual fun activities with friends and teammates, Mrs. Mays had to rely on Cooper to help her at home. Knowing that (Cooper) is missing these good times with friends has left Mrs. Mays riddled with guilt.”

What a colossal P.O.S. that family is. Hey pops, is this you caught in a Trump-sized lie in this pic or what?

The obvious pain on your face, such a brave man you must be. Hope this lawsuit gets thrown out just on principle.

Dawgs247 has learned the Southern Miss offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner is expected to join the staff at Georgia and that would be officially on Monday.
This position is not exactly determined yet, but we are told likely an quality control/analyst type off-field role.
Buster Faulkner, a 15-year coaching veteran, joined the Southern Miss staff in February 2019. He spent the previous three years at Arkansas State as its offensive coordinator, including tight end duties the last two seasons.
His final season in Jonesboro saw his offense rank No. 17 in total offense (466.2) and No. 21 in passing offense (281.5), while three of his players, including quarterback Justin Hansen, who was the league’s Player of the Year for the second-straight season, make first-team All-Sun Belt.
He was at Middle Tennessee State prior to Arkansas State and had success there as well
Faulkner spent five seasons as an assistant coach at Middle Tennessee, including the last four full years as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He helped guide the Blue Raiders to 31 victories, numerous school records and a pair of bowl-game appearances from 2012-15.
Under his tutelage, the Blue Raiders amassed more than 5,000 yards of total offense in three consecutive seasons for the first time in school history while averaging over 31 points a game. MTSU's 2015 team amassed 5,946 yards and scored 442 points, both school records, helping the squad finish 6-2 in Conference USA and earn an invitation to the Bahamas Bowl.'
His first season at Arkansas State saw the Red Wolves bounce back from an 0-4 start to finish with an 8-5 record, a Sun Belt title and 31-13 victory over UCF in the Cure Bowl. Under his direction as offensive coordinator, the Red Wolves recorded 4,932 yards total offense that was the sixth most in school history. Faulkner and the Red Wolves followed up the 2016 season by making another bowl-game appearance the following year, this time playing in the Camellia Bowl to conclude a 2017 campaign that saw the offense average a school-record 494.8 yards per game that ranked No. 10 in the nation.
During his prep career, Faulkner started at quarterback as a sophomore and led Parkview High School to the 1997 Georgia state championship.
Faulkner will be working with the newly hired Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken who joined Kirby Smart's staff on officially on Friday after coming from the Cleveland Browns staff.
With Faulkner joining the staff Georgia could have as many as five former offensive coordinators on their offensive staff this season. Shawn Watson, James Coley, Monken, and Matt Luke.
Dawgs247 expects Watson and Faulkner to be in quality control/analyst type roles for now. They'll have the opportunity to work with a pair of graduate transfers in Wake Forest quarterback Jamie Newman and Florida State tight end Tre' McKitty.
Georgia is set to begin spring drills on or near March 17.

Ben Cleveland confirmed to be returning for next season. Good news.

https://www.dawgnation.com/football/ben-cleveland-hes-following-through-on-plan-to-return-to-uga-in-2020

With that expected news, we've got at least some experience returning at 4 of the 5 OL spots. LG Schaffer/Ericsson; C Hill; RG Cleveland; RT Salyer. Only LT will be breaking in a totally new player.
