Its that the early signing period. The way he has tested at these camps, I'm sure every team has pitched its best offer lately.

Any team that needed the Opening to decide to pursue this kid doesn't have the slightest chance of landing him

Pretty sure he's slated for around July 27 or 29th (Milton is the other)... it's HEAVY favorite trending to the Dawgs at this point (for both).

True... But u know what i mean. I'm sure some "sponsors" and "chaperone" were assigned to be with him on those trips to UGA,BAMA,and OSU lol

His commitment video is being shot today. Coming so quickly after the Opening and his conversation with Ratledge, I'm still saying he's s Dawg.

I agree......maybe we will be wrong Thursday but I just believe if the kid wants to go, the parents will let him go.   Seeing the love that Ratledge and Webb and all the other guys have for the Pitt Boss - the fact that Ratledge already de-committed once from Sooners.

I have supreme confidence.   The more serious the kid, the less wishy-washy hometown influence stuff works.   I know Pittman hasn't gotten "errrrrbody" but dayum near.   The WV kid wouldn't even come to campus.   Paris Johnson, maybe? the LT to Bama last December?  that's about it.

I believe Raym wants to come,  I believe he will.

I'm not only hoping for good news, I'm expecting it.

If Raym doesn’t come it will open up another spot, we will not be signing another OL other than SVP imo.

where we use our spots will be quite interesting.. there is an oline project that pittboss wants, but that is only after we have exhausted our spots on higher ranked players and lost out on them..  i do agree though at this point without ryam it's svp and that's it.

I think that’s very unlikely... won’t say never but it close.

In a way, I like having that extra spot now. I love Raym as a player but I think we will possibly use it on a LB or DL which in the end will benefit us more in the long run imo

i personally would take 6 dlinemen.. we will lose at least 6 guys this coming year..  we need a lot of beef up front.. i would like for our staff to go hard after rogers.. his mom wants UGA..  we add him to carter and brinson at dt.  then take cowen and walker.. then keep stackhouse.  burch is a long shot imo.. i don't see him leaving with his mom wanting him to stay instate..

We are barely even recruiting Walker. He gone.

Cowan was a little underwhelming at the Opening; but not sure how much that will affect our staff's evaluation on him.

But from all reports, the staff has greatly soured on Rogers attitude over concerns that he would be a high risk for the transfer portal. I don't see him in this class.

Like LG1 said the other day, there is a greater than 50/50 chance we land Burch.

And steam is picking up on Gervon Dexter, who if we were to land both him and Burch would probably squeeze out Cowan from having a spot.

Nothing to support this other than my speculation, but I wouldn't be surprised to see us start making a much harder push for Tim Smith.
