birdz4i
just posted falcons, you can see the whole list on the link. Eric Edholm Yahoo Sports Jun 21, 2019, 11:05 AM 32. Atlanta Falcons QBs drafted since 2010: 1 Day 1 picks: None Day 2: None Day 3: Sean Renfree (249th, 2013) Chase Stuart draft capital invested: 0.1 Skinny: You might be able to win some bar bets with this one: Who was the last QB the Falcons drafted? Renfree was on the roster a few years, got into two games in mop-up time and was cut in 2016. The Falcons currently have soon-to-be 39-year-old Matt Schaub and 2018 undrafted free agent Kurt Benkert behind starter Matt Ryan. The beauty for the Falcons is that they have not had to cultivate and groom a young quarterback with Ryan being so durable (his only time missing action in the NFL was a two-game stretch in December 2009). But it’s almost shocking they have not taken more than one QB in the past 11 drafts. In fact, we had to round the Stuart value up; his pick-value system only goes up to the 224th selection, so we just made it that same 0.1 number. Ryan likely isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. He’s still relatively young (34 this season), has major dead money left on his deal and quietly had a phenomenal 2018 season statistically — 69.4 percent completions, a 35-7 TD-INT ratio and 4,924 passing yards — despite some OL issues and injuries all over the place. https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl-draft-how-much-each-team-has-invested-in-quarterbacks-the-past-decade-150521858.html
AustFalcon
It increasingly gets revealed how underrated #2 is. I would honestly not swap him for anyone in the league. Drew4719, Vandy, BlazerSlayer and 3 others
BlazerSlayer
Part of me thinks we should have drafted someone to develop and perhaps trade on. But that could be construed as a wasted pick. We've been so fortunate to have a QB so good, and so durable.

As the article pointed out, Greenbay and the Pats have done it.... But its not like its a lock drafting a backup QB ensures draft capital later...its still a form of gambling/playing in the stock market. MAD597
Why would we waste a draft pick on a QB that will never play? They would not even get enough playing time to get interest for a trade. I'm sure we will be looking at a QB in 5 years or so but until then its a waste

Dude will take tye shot to deliver tye ball everytime and get back up. There isnt a tougher QB in the league.

I love MR2 but I’d take Patrick Mahomes in a heartbeat and even Andrew Luck. Let the homers flame.....

Let’s see how he does without some of his weapons. Kid is destined to be great, just want to see how he performs when **** is rough.
