ATLSlobberKnockers
This is a fair question. Is winning the NFCCG a real.championship? Obviously it technically is. I say this to those fans that dog the team saying we've never won a championship. Winning the NFC is obviously an acomplishment, but do you consider it a championship per se? Tim Mazetti
By definition the Falcons' have been champions (Well, a bit, to Quote Monty Python.) A few times. Not the big one. I want the big one. This has been a winning team for years minus a hick-up or two. A good time to be a Falcon Fan. And so were the last five years, DAMMIT. I think it's kind of like winning the intercontinental championship in professional wrestling. Or winning the Royal Rumble but losing the shot at the title that you would get at WrestleMania. Something like that.
DMT11
Call it what you want , who gives a ****, end of the day, someone needs to dethrone the pats, and that means making them lose the last Superbowl belichek and Brady are in. Because if they lose that last one, it will eat those two forever and It might as well be us, if we do that it makes braves, Hawks the entire Georgia historical sports complex worth it. Dracarys new England. Edited May 23, 2019 by DMT11

It means a lot of you've never been to a super bowl. I am glad I was able to enjoy the thrill of the Falcons make a super bowl. With that said I'd rather NEVER GO BACK TO THE SUPER BOWL AT ALL than to go back and LOSE it. Tim Mazetti

Tom Brady will be around at least 3 more years imo. I think 2021 will probably be an off year for the Falcons because we probably won't have Alex Mack after 2020 and Freeman will probably slow down by that time. I agree about not wanting to lose and that is why I said no. Someone gave me an "Atlanta Falcons - NFC Champions" T shirt and I have never worn it. The pain of losing the Superbowl took away any pride or feeling of accomplishment in that title. I feel the same as a player. I have won a Championship game and lost one in our local league. I don't feel that making the Final and losing it was an accomplishment. I have better memories of playing on bad teams who overachieved and made the playoffs than playing for a good team who lost the big one. They actually sell New England Patriots AFC Champions shirts in some stores. Even during years they won the super bowl. If you got as many Super Bowl wins as the Patriots I don't see why you would buy a conference or division championship shirt. Maybe a "we've been to the conference championship game 9 years in a row shirt" AustFalcon
