I'm sure already overworked and underpaid teachers will love this.

My wife isn't thrilled. Their school day already goes to 6-7pm, and that's with normal let out. She'll be working until 9-10 with this dumb*** idea. I know she says "The teachers day is done" but that only works if there are plenty of people to work during the after school programs. If there isn't, the teachers get to do it.

We just had this come up. One of the programs at my wife's school was running short on staff. They requested that teachers pick up the slack. If you signed up, you got an extra $40 a week for 3 additional hours. $40 a week doesn't cover the additional hours of child care for most of these teachers...

Of course.  So what do you do?

You are frequently critical  of the message.  But what do you do if you simply cannot reach people with the truth.  History has had problems with this, right?

I'm critical of the message because it's incomplete without being able to say that he creates these situations on purpose precisely because of how it'll play in the media.

Without that, liberals fill in the blanks with Trump's stupidity and loyalty to Putin like always, which makes the impeachment must-avoid television for most of the people Democrats need to vote in 2020.

It’s because they want to raise your kids for you and indoctrinate them

No, it isn't. It's because the schools don't have the resources to properly staff. And the parents don't have the resources to properly care for their kids.

You think the elementary schools are handing out Marxist Textbooks?

Well, not for my wife's classroom. She's at a title 1 school, so the past few years, I've been buying 20-28 bundles of schools supplies, just to make sure the kids have everything they need.

We pick up a few notebooks, some packs of tee shirts (for art class), Colored pencils, crayons, "The Communist Manifesto", glue sticks, Construction paper, a Bernie Sanders pin, "Capital" by Marx, hand sanitizer, paper towels, clorox wipes, etc. Just everything they need to get through the year.

We also buy a book or 2 for them at the Scholastic Book Fair.

Thread too long to post.

I don't know about y'all but this is deeply fascinating to me. I looked through Fuentes's Twitter yesterday and seems to be 100% devoted to ****ting on Charlie Kirk and TPUSA. I love that the grifters on the right are being called out and it seems like Fuentes's group has more actual support than the likes of TPUSA and Ben Shapiro who just have all of the money behind them.

Seeing those guys go down would be amazing. My only worry is that when it comes to Republicans, usually the most insanely right faction wins and if things keep moving this way, I could see these guys driving Republican policy one day. Luckily most of them are young and that generation doesn't like Republicans at all but I could see a group like this becoming a fringe minority group in the future.

Kirk's TPUSA has been around for 7 years now, they have a presence on a lot of big campuses, and have reached their tentacles into high schools as well (I shared a year or so ago that one of my cousins who had an internship with an AL GOP legislator got invited to a TPUSA event in DC as a senior in high school and posted pictures on facebook of the event featuring Jr, Kirk, Cruz, Owens, etc . . .).  I don't think Fuentes has the numbers, but his followers are just doing a good job of being the loudest ***  holes in the room online, and showing up to these events, to make it seem like they have big numbers.

Kirk may have been a never-Trumper prior to 2016, but he's one of the biggest Trump bootlickers out there.  Shapiro gives an occasional mealy-mouthed rebuke of Trump, but he's all-in too.  So Fuentes is not coming from any sort of good faith angle here, he knew he was in a crowded room and saw a way to get his foot in the door by attacking these guys, IMO.

I'd love for Kirk and Sharpio to get embarrassed, but I can't root for neo-nazis to take them down.

Yeah, the neo-Nazi thing is of course the biggest issue. Though when I looked at the videos, it more so seemed like they were questioning America's unquestioned allegiance to Israel rather than being anti-Semitic. It's just that every one who responded to them said they were being anti-Semitic for questioning Israel (kinda like what happened to Ilhan Omar earlier this year).

But I know these types of people know how to dog-whistle so I wouldn't be surprised if they actually are and are just hiding it well right now.

Yeah, I figured it was out there but I just hadn't seen it yet. Not surprising in the least.

In addition to anti-semitism it seems like they're pushing back on a lot of the social conservative issues the Republican party as a whole has given up on, specifically gay rights. I'm interested to see how that'll play out because while the party has let it go, I'd wager that it's still an issue for a good bit of their base.

I'd laugh at them knowing that they're going to have deal with the monster they've created but chances are the monster is going to win and we're all going to be worse off for it.

The irony is that Kirk started TPUSA to sell boomer libertarian economics to college kids but Fuentes claims they’ve turned their back on economic conservatism. Just making **** up to cause division and get attention.

Although I get thinking Kirk is a huge goober and should be replaced as a mouthpiece.
