Hey now, Meatloaf may be a D list celebrity, but his rent checks don’t bounce.

And I would do anything for love
I'd run right into **** and back
I would do anything for love
I'd never lie to you and that's a fact
But I'll never forget the way you feel right now
Oh no, no way
And I would do anything for love
Oh I would do anything for love
I would do anything for love, but I won't do that
No, I won't do that

fun fact: Meatloaf was a young boy in Dallas when he was riding his bike with some friends, a Dallas police officer stopped and question them on the day Kennedy was shot. The officer asked him if he had seen a man fitting Oswald's description after he shot and killed officer, J.D Tippet

Rest in peace Elijah, we will all continue your fight

A few years before the dustup between Trump and Cummings, socialist Bernie Sanders had this to say about Baltimore's inner city: "Anyone who took the walk we took around this [Baltimore] neighborhood [with] hundreds of buildings that are uninhabitable ... would think you were in a Third World country."

Yeah but, you know, let's blow up Trump's statement to polarize race and she-it.

Fun fact: That speech was calling out how our government has intentionally allowed black communities to wither on the vine despite all our wealth and that we require new national priorities to revitalize them.

This is, of course, contrasted to Trump's comments about it where he provided zero solutions and merely used the economic decay of Baltimore, which is present in many cities and rural communities, to bash Cummings since he was a hit dog hollering.

Finally, seems like a dip****ty thing to bring up at the moment.

That has what do with what?

I mean we all know that this man's death is gonna be spun for politics somehow but it doesn't mean it has to be you doing it.

It's a dayum shame what the GOP has done (war on poverty)  to Baltimore and other Iinner cities like it in the last 55 years, since the EOA was passed in 64'.

Oh right, I got the wrong party...silly me trying to rewrite history like you do.

I'm sure Republicans fought against corporate oriented free trade deals that sent millions of jobs overseas very hard and haven't pushed policies to underpay and undercut labor in this country which has caused wealth depletion in a host of communities.

But, again, this is a dip****ty thing to bring up at the moment.

The people who want to memorialize every time Pelosi wags a finger at Trump shouldn't get to complain about politics becoming depressing as ****.

He didn't mention Cummings, he just brought up what Bernie's comment was, same as Trump's.

Then you said Trump wasn't doing anything about the situation, which is a prevarication on your part.

Van Jones praised Trump's EO creating the Opportunity Reinvestment Coucil, which as you know (but acted like it didn't exist) gives incentives to come into "opportunity zones" and create a thriving.business model and community needs for the poorest communities in our nation.

It was originally brought up by the right when Limbaugh tried to equivocate Sanders and Trumps statements. You guys are not difficult to read. Likewise, I've already been over why that council is faulty and won't work for anyone outside of the companies that program will funnel public money into with you before.

I'm very unbiased, in that I'm equally horrified by people that are accusing Trump of not knowing how to write his own tweet about the passing of Elijah Cummings, and the people that needed to wait and see if he was going to come out of the gates swinging before acting as if they knew he wouldn't immediately try to stir some ****.

You I'm home wrong on both accounts. But you are trying to circumvent what kingfish actually said. Trying to create a problem where there wasn't one.

I going to side with people who are actually working on the problem with new solutions. The Dems status quo over 55 years hasn't worked.

I rarely if ever side with Jones, but in this instance I hapoen to agree with his enthusiasm over this policy.

Bern needs capitalism ato run his socialism, he knows it and I know it, but you don't know it

You could tax Bern's billionaires to death and you would have enough money to run (Bern's government) for 3 months

You could eliminate the Pentagon and DOD and have enough money to run the Bern's government for 4 months.

Don't let them sell you a unicorn son, it's a fantasy they're pushing on the Lemmings, they know it won't work, but that is the best gimmick they have to sell you at this time.

Have you gotten confirmation on delivery for that 2016 unicorn you bought?

Yes, Bern will not be POTUS. Bet your farm on that.

All your BS aside, I was watching PBS (yes I watch it) and they were discussing our crumbling infrastructure. Mainly the bridges and the impending danger they pose, which were built in the 1950s-1960s, we need to seriously take up what Trump has been asking for, an infrastructure bill.

It's high time the two sides stop playing partisan politics and do what needs to be done. We can all agree on that.

If you think Bernie meant it in the same way Trump did, I've got some beachfront property in Nebraska to sell you.

The neighborhood he toured was the neighborhood where Freddie Gray was arrested.  He was making a point. https://www.baltimoresun.com/politics/bs-md-sanders-baltimore-20151207-story.html
