I think that's an exxageration.  We are not a far left dominant culture but most people arent far right either. The number of voters with single issue voting or major issue voting just tilted jt.

If the democrats were not against the right to life and against the 2nd amendment honestly trump would have never had a chance. I think those two issues alone cause many people who would otherwise vote Democrat to be stuck in Republican voting. For me the 2nd ammendment is a greater problem than abortion at this point because abortion laws are being turned over to the states.

My favorite part of the way folks on the right use "Marxist" as a rhetorical crutch is that Marx's most fundamental and central tenet is proven more and more accurate with every passing day.

It's somehow completely misapplied while being wholly accurate from 30,000 feet.

Bravo self-ownage.

Everything you wrote there is silly and partisan on its head.

America's problem is bigger than a one amendment issue and way older than men attempting to control women's bodies. Again.

Which would that be?

Communism is "not a state of the future, but the real movement which destroys the existing state of being."

Seems very alt-left and not conservative at all.

You want the truth there it is. And the fact you write off those deep convictions as insignificant is why another Donald trump type figure will win again. As long as you think the 2nd is just another ammendment to modify and remove and that abortion is just old men just trying to control women then you will forever be stupid

I already gave you the truth. People like you are why this country will never fulfill its mandate.

There are too many of you who keep to pigeon hole issues that are only important to yourself and not the country as a whole.

Good lord.  Long, very interesting read about folks at the Daily Caller.  Some snippets below.

Leaked Emails Show How White Nationalists Have Infiltrated Conservative Media

Quote

....

Bennett’s preferred “flavor” was—as the collection of emails acquired by Splinter demonstrates—white nationalist. Many of these emails, which are dated between late 2015 and 2018, came from a small, private email thread known as “Morning Hate.”

....

In “Morning Hate,” Bennett, and others, were free to make their racist opinions known, while laying the groundwork for leading their double-lives, of sorts, in more mainstream conservative institutions.

...

The group began coalescing on October 13, 2015, when Elliott drew together a few former mentees via email to organize so-called “hateups,” or in-person meetings to discuss racism. (Splinter is including some of the emails both in the body of the article and in a slideshow at the bottom of this piece; we have obscured references to most people other than Bennett and Elliott in the emails.) That’s when Elliott also rattled off the code words the thread used in its chats: “Hawaiians” was a stand-in for “Hebes,” an anti-Semitic slur referring to Jews; “Alaskans” for “N’s” (the n-word); “our good friend” for “AH” (Adolf Hitler); and “our good friend’s son” for Trump.

...

Both Social Matter and Bennett’s public-facing career at the Caller soon got in the way of personal blogging. Bennett fell in deeper with D.C.’s underground far-right a bit over a year after he started at the Caller. In fall 2015, he attended the white nationalist, white supremacist National Policy Institute’s conference for Social Matter. “It was great to catch up with old friends and put names to faces for some of the folks I haven’t had the chance to meet in person yet,” Bennett observed in a snippet of the article republished at the white supremacist forum Stormfront. (Social Matter has, as of this writing, been taken off the web, and even when it was live it almost religiously purged its archive.) The event, which was held in the heart of Washington, D.C., at the National Press Club, attracted somewhere between 100–200 participants for a full day of talks from prominent white supremacists. A hefty discount for those attendees under 30 guaranteed the room was packed with young, curious racists like Bennett.

...

Elliott referred to black people, or really any people of color, as “dindus,” short for “dindu nuffins” or “didn’t do nothing”—a racist slur against black people that took off in 2014–15, thanks to 4Chan’s infamous /pol/ board. “It looks like a Dindu murdered the Oregon Ballerina. . . . I think we know the motive,” Elliott wrote on April 8, 2016 of a 2016 murder at the University of Texas. “I suspect that this brainwashed female from Portland assumed that all dindus are SJWs in black face. . . . Ach ja.”

The group seemed well-aware that they were outside the norms of generic conservative racism. “Criticizing BLM is no longer a good litmus test for deciding whether someone is ‘on [our] side,’” Bennett wrote on March 21, 2017, of conservative commentator Tomi Lahren in an email thread discussing how to best trick conservatives into accepting a pro-choice stance solely for non-white minorities, so as to limit their population growth. (In certain white nationalist circles, abortion is sometimes seen as a means of implementing a form of eugenics, which is desirable in their eyes.) “I don’t know how much further she ventures into our territory.”

Even figures such as Gavin McInnes, the head of the far-right hate group the Proud Boys, weren’t racist enough for Bennett. “I don’t think he’s a bad guy, but when Emily Youcis [a semi-prominent white nationalist troll who was fired from her job selling snacks for being too racist] tried to get him to say the 14 words on his show, he subbed out ‘white’ children for ‘Western’ children,” he wrote in an email from December 15, 2016.

...

No its Because of die hard partisans like you.

1.you will lose constitutionalists as long as you oppose the 2nd. We've already lost the 4th and the 1st is under attack.

2. You will lose all the religious men and women who oppose abortion not because they want to "control someone else's body" but because they view an infant as a human life. Which I agree with. Coming from the religious perspective the first person to acknowledge Jesus" diety was a baby in womb john. So yes mandating that a religious group just shut up about a topic or pay for it to be done is absolutely a violation of their 1st amendment rights.

3. Things are more complex than liberals just wanna kill babies and conservatives just wanna control women's bodies but it always boils down to either or and the truth is, theres a way forward constitutionally.

4. Did you know theres a ton of liberal gun owners that wont support these gun bans? Its not like all republican pro bazookas and all liberals are anti gun down to the smallest pistol.  Do going full bore on banning scary looking guns does much but divide and isolate groups.

5. Your recipe Is literally we arent radical enough and these folks are holding us back.  That's crazy talk buddy and loses elections and sanity.

Again, more silliness. Also, that's the second time you brought up an election. I could care less about them at this point. I'm always for country first. Party last.

It all chalks up to fear. People in power always fear to lose things that they believe that they have control of and right now Conservatives are laden with it.

The first part just Lol.

The second part....the fact you only mentioned one group told on. The Hmfics and Snatterbozos of the world  arent abberitions. Theres large chunks of both parties that LOVE our current condition because its feeds into their already deep seeded polarity. Republicans voted in fear for Trump because they were afraid he was the only one who could beat hilary but didn't and still dont weigh the consequences. Democrats went into full meltdown fearmongering Trump is literally Hitler after the election with everything from calling him a russian agent, to all Republicans are white nationalist,  to yada yada yada. It's still going on.

The 2016 election was the FEAR election. The left feares a President Trump and the right feared a President Hilary.

2020 will probably be a continuation of the fear election regardless who wins.

2024 will be a new beginning election.

The funny part is if Hilary had won, the board would roles would be flipped. The liberals would be saying the conservatives are over reacting and the Republicans would be infowars deep in conspiracies about her election.

Sorry, but unlike yourself, I don't operate within the realm of denial.

Trump built his entire campaign on fear and he's still campaigning on it daily.  The Republican Party is scared to death of him because they don't want the fire and pitchforks from the alt-right that has changed and dominated the Party.

We should draft a promising kicker next year.  Just not with a 2nd rounder like TB did...

Last time I checked (maybe a year or two ago) 14 of the 15 most accurate kickers in league history were undrafted.

We shouldnt draft a kicker. But we should absolutely keep looking at younger alternatives moving forward. And "we" need to have more of a baseline understanding of the bigger picture in the kicking game.

"alt-left" isnt a thing.

No one ever accused conservatives (well....at least what passes for conservatism in today's America) as being ideologically consistent or coherent....because it pretty much isnt.

As for what specifically Marx was right about: the general notion that class struggle is largely a  product of economic configurations and driver of social evolution.

And at the end of the day, the most basic critique of "Marxism" or communism or socialism (as they are inaccurately but consistently grouped together) is that aspects of human nature render collective good impractical, that there will always be takers who do little and makers who do too much. The best part about that? It takes little effort to effectively turn the critique against capitalism with equal power.

You need to get a grip on reallity Larry.  I am not a lawyer , but I did go to law school, and I know that perpertrating a fraud on the FISA Court is a CRIME.  Comey LIED when he affirmed that the phony "Dossier" had been vetted , and confirmed as true.  Comey was even warned by Steele through Bruce and Nellie Ohr, that there was no truth to the "Dossier".  Nellie was working for the cut out law firm that was paid by Hillary to concoct the phony "Dossier" , and funnelled info to her husband.  Those two should renew their passports quickly.

As for you being raised in NY  Trump country, I can forgive you for that, while you were young, but if you have reached adulthood, you should be more aware of political events.not just from CNN and MSNBC, who just LIE about events, i.e Joe Scarborough and the guy who shares you sig at MSNBC.

To paraphrase Golden Era Bills Simmons Page 2 columns: there's comedy; there's high comedy; and then there're your rants.

Also, I'm not quite sure how I'm watching all this MSNBC given that I havent had cable in about a decade...

Trump Derangement Syndrome is a remarkably accurate phrase....albeit in a way that is completely opposite its common use.
