Ryu and Kershaw have been pretty good. Beuhler is having a rough go of it. He'll come in with a 5.22 ERA and the Braves wore him out in the NLDS last year.

I know its a tall order, but our bats need to come to life in this series. I want to see more of that scrappy Braves team we've seen in the past.

Our bats have been great. Now, we get to see if they can continue against playoff type match ups.

Bowman said Newcomb could be here to piggyback Gausman. After throwing 30 pitches two days ago he might wear down early and that's when Snitker could bring in Newcomb for a few innings. Dodgers only hit .245 against LHPs.

Looks like the Braves made the right move.

  • Brian McCann - 0.6 rWAR - .320/.410/.500 (.910) (15 Games)
  • J.T. Realmuto - 1.1 rWAR - .279/.341/.441 (.783) (31 Games)
  • Yasmani Grandal - 0.6 rWAR - .264/.352/.453 (.805) (31 Games)

You take away the start against the Indians and that 1 horrible inning against the Rockies and Julio Teheran has been pretty good this year.

  • 44 IP, 33 H, 18 R, 18 ER, 7 HR, 18 BB, 43 SO, 3.68 ERA

He's been even better the last 3 starts since that embarrassment against the Indians.

  • 19 IP, 12 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 3 HR, 6 BB, 19 SO, 3.32 ERA

I think it's time folks stop crapping on Julio and start supporting him!!

If he's doing this consistently then yes...but I need more time...

Too much bad to just forget about because of a few starts...

All-Star break....and he still balling...

**** yeah...

But I need more time...

But I do support him...as I do all the Braves...just not ready to proclaim anything

So much for the @McCann is washed up we should have sold the prospects for Realmuto” narrative.

I'm surprised that McCann is in there tonight against Ryu. I wonder if that means we're gonna start McCann 2 games in a row again like we did the first 2 games of the Marlins series? I would hope he would start game 2 against Buehler.

Buehler is pitching tonight. Ryu is pitching tomorrow. The pitching matchups listed in the OP are backwards.

Dodgers say Pollock is likely out the rest of the first half.

Another guy that several people wanted that I'm glad we didn't sign in hindsight. For a minute I kinda wanted him here

One things for sure, if we lose tonight, I wouldn't be shocked to see a certain poster come back to the boards proclaiming the season is over and we are a 4th place team.

Theres more than one of those.
