LOL...This is a pretty good listen.  Clayton is still nerdy & funny.  He thinks McGary is the starter Day 1.  Does question spendings 15 million in FA on OG and OT if this was our draft plan

I heard it live....hes not the only one though....I heard rumblings close to the team that's saying  it's his job to lose..

If he holds his own...he will be the starter

But I do understand your concerns with 2 rookies on the line...

Everything I've learned about these 2 guys tell me it might happen...

Do we necessarily have to line up both rookies on the same side?

Mathews

Lindstrom

Mack

Brown

McGary

I mean....I dont know myself...

Rookies on the oline isn't the worst thing in the world, especially when you have vets like Mack and Matthews and (probably) Carpenter along side.  Matthews as a rookie was mostly fine, and he battled the entire year with a high ankle sprain.  Best man wins...if it is McGary, cool.

I know enough to know I don’t know much.

I like both players.  Still think Ty starts at RT, though.  And that means he is doing well, which is a good thing

I’ll never forget JJ Watt simply destroying him on Hard Knocks

i knew then that growing pains were coming

Man that was pre injury JJ Watt.  That JJ Watt was current Aaron Donald levels of dominant.  Rough criticism lol

It isn’t a criticism.  Growing pains are a fact of life for nearly every rookie OL

I guess.  Just read a little funny to me.  Were you expecting him to handle JJ?!  :)

Dude that version of JJ...wow...feels like forever ago.

i think lindstrom will start day 1. for some reason unless mcgary comes out on fire, i think ty will start the year on the right side but mcgary probably takes over once he gets a little experience.

Guess my rose colored glasses had me hoping for a stalemate...lol.  Or lose a hard fought rep.  But those drills favor the defense.

If Lindstrom starts TC on the right side, we will know Ty is the starter.

No way they put Lindstrom & Kaleb next to each other

I don't care who starts. It's already a better line than we've had the past 5 years.

Not only that with the infusion of rookie talent, it should get better and better as the seasons go along, not remain static or go up and down

Not necessarily

It would seem more appropriate to surround the rookies with veteran presence.  Don’t you think?

In theory yeah but throwing Lindstrom on the left when he's always played the right side could end up stunting his growth.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Let them take their lumps.
