I think this is the most separated the board has ever been

Recommended Posts

I feel when it comes to the draft this year this is the most separated the board has ever been. Normally  the majority is in board with a certain position being picked in the first but maybe two different prospects are liked. This year there's people who want DT people who want DE. Then you have a Group for RT and CB and some who even want a LB. There is such vast opinions  that different which is so unlike any other draft I've seen since I joined this board hack in 2004. I think with all this different thoughts that it proves that this draft is just gonna he crazy because there's no obvious  position we are going to attack in the 1st round this year....gonna be a fun draft weekend

The draft is challenging as the drop off in top tier talent is much earlier than usual. This is part of it.

You must not have been around for Ryan vs Dorsey

Was thinking the same thing. It was a big debate. I wanted Ryan, actually mocked him as a 2nd round pick before he caught fire in the draft world after the VT game put him in the spotlight.

many wanted Dorsey and either Brohm or Henne.

most important coin flip in Falcons history right there to get the 3 pick instead of 4 or 5.

I would say the LI coinflip was more impotant. But we may not get ryan making that flip moot.

Oh I remember as I was part of the Team i want Ryan since I lived relatively close to the college in was all about him but this year it's so much  more broad so many other potential options

Yeah i got roasted by my friends for being the only.Ryan lover. But he throws to many pick s they said.Yeah but he propelled his team to No.2 and after the last 3 mins of that VT game(i watched all of it to.see what Ryan was all about) I was.100% sold

After draft night tbey were mad at me like I had drafted him. I doubled down and said he.was the next Peyton. A buddy of mine made me repeat it into his phone.recorder so he could roast me later. I bring that one up every opening game.

There are 2 possible reasons for this disagreement over what position the Falcons need to draft:

1) The team has multiple holes where they do not have a clear starter and need their draft pick(s) to fill them

2) The team has reliable options at every position where a starter already exists and draft pick(s) would be just an upgrade or backup

I am leaning toward 2 as our popular draft pick scenarios have possible starters already around but could use improvement

Well, he isnt the next Peyton, so I guess you'll never live that one down.

Its pretty clear at this point we are going either OL or CB in the first and CB or OL in the second. IF I were Dimi I would trade down and pick up an extra second. I can see us take Jawaan Taylor at pick #14 and Isaiah Johnson with our second.

The one time we had a decent OL and passable defense we made it to the SB.

**** we made it to the 2012 NFCCG with the protozoa defense and an OL we would soon find out was comprised of road cones.

And in terms of #'s Ryan I believe is right next to Peyton on most charts/above him.

I mean **** he even looks like him somewhat, without the giant forehead.
