2019 NBA playoffs thread...

14 posts in this topic

Can't believe the basketball lovers haven't started this thread..... Anywho, I'm currently watching the Celtics and the Pacers, good matchup, Horford is still his same playoff self.

Seems like the Warriors are the fav again, I just don't see anybody lasting an entire series with them. With that being said I'm pulling for anybody...somebody out of the East to pull out a miracle!

Don't underestimate the Bucks, and the Warriors struggled with Kawhi Leonard the last time he was in the playoffs.

I believe a well schemed team can bury the warriors. Let's hope the Bucks are that team if it comes down to the finals.

Havent watched a minute of any of the games...don't care too much for these 1st round matchups.

I also believe it's Warriors/Rockets vs Bucks Finals, everything else is just academic...

I just don't see the Bucks beating the Warriors 4 games in a series. Coach Bud and Giannis may get them 3 games though and make it a tough series.

Especially if the Warriors have a healthy Steph, KD, and Klay during the Finals. I think this the last season of Golden State being a dynasty level team.

I don't think the Rockets make it past the second round.

Raptors will make it tough on the Bucks.

Things I've learned so far in the playoffs:

1. Another playoffs in which Blake Griffin is injured and unable to help his team.

2. Playoff Lowry in early form - ZERO points

3. Orlando and Brooklyn with the surprise upsets

4. Philly might be in trouble if Embiid is limited. Ben Simmons has an ugly game. He's talented as heck but if he can't fix his game to include a jumpshot, he'll never be as good as he can be.

5. I wish Oladipo wasn't injured for the Celts/Pacers matchup.

6. OKC/PTL - that's gonna be a series: Dame vs Westbrook - they don't like each other much

7. Pop just keeps winning. Denver might be in trouble, their collective playoff inexperience might be an issue.

8. The top teams: Bucks, Warriors, Rockets - showed why they are.

I don't see it either. They can make a series out of it, but GS is just too deep. And I agree with the dynasty possibly being done....Good chance Durant goes to the Knicks, Thompson will get paid somewhere else, Green also might be playing elsewhere.

Good basketball being played over the weekend! First game of the first round doesn't mean much but I love to see how teams adjust especially after a loss.

Brooklyn getting an early series lead isn't much of a surprise. Brooklyn has shooters, Philly has Redick, Butler, and to a lesser extent Embiid. Simmons continues to be an offensive liability for the simple reason that he doesn't have a jumper. If your point guard is no threat to shoot it allows teams to cheat defensively.
