Ed Oliver runs a blazing 4.71 40 yard dash and 4.19 short shuttle at his Pro Day!

Just gotta see that hand usage disengagement and a plan can he be taught that is the question.Everything else about Ed I love.

DQ took Vic and Takk; and an unpolished Grady diamond in the rough...

Why would he NOT take Oliver? :tiphat:

Quesiton is only cost.

We may not be willing to move up with NYG at 6 if cost is too step, but E A S I L Y could move up with DET if they are in favor of going down. That makes a trade up to 6 possible if it’s tempting enough.

I think you’ve gotten Oliver mistaken for Brian Burns.

I didnt.

Is it though?

You're right.

DT and DE are the exact same. Grady Jarrett should replace Beasley outside and we could just get another DT or DE to replace Grady.

Already an improvement.

A lot of fans going to be disappointed when hes the next vic Beasley.

Beasley is a pussycat while Oliver is a dog. Beasley has all the tools except for his mentality.

Hmmmm.....making sense for us to be talking with Detroit for the 8th pick.

Hopefully this pushes Oliver up and he is the first DT drafted, then we have a chance at Q Williams at the 8th pick.

I can not get excited about moving up for Oliver, but would be very excited to move up for Q Williams.

He has the size I would want at DT.

You mean, If under the direct coaching and playcalling of Dan Quinn, Oliver leads the NFL in sacks?

Im really excited about DQ taking the defense back over. I trust we will pick a player in round 1 that will be an instant starter and play at a high level. Not sure if that is Oliver.

Good points.

I guess right now I’m only seeing a guy who wins with his athleticism.Id like to hear him talk about football to see if he has that intelligence as I see that as a key for quick development.

Your right cost is going to be paramount.

I’m right behind him at a 4.72.

Is he trade up ready?  Yes. Will we do it?

can DQ mold him into Aaron Donald?

I'm about to the place where I feel DQ is not capable of molding any DE.

I was hoping it would be photoshopped but I don’t think it is
