Why does no one talk about Larry Doby? I just watched the movie 42 about Jackie Robinson breaking baseball's color barrier and at the end of the movie it named a couple other black players that followed in his footsteps but didn't mention Larry Doby. I've always wondered why Larry Doby never gets any recognition for being the first black player in the American League, also in 1947. It just seems to not be fair because we know he and every single one of the black players from that time period faced the same fight.

Larry Doby was also the second black manager of a major league club after Frank Robinson. He is in the HOF, but you're right, he should have his name etched right next to everywhere you see Jackie's name. Shame!
