I hope not. I hope it signals real competition with capable back ups in the event of injury.

Seems like a lot of competition though, which is good for sure.  I dunno...seems like the writing is on the wall for Fusco, especially after the injury.

Not necessarily. He's a LG and fusco is RG. I doubt it's the end of anybody right now.

Maybe...speculation on my part.  We will see.

But the question is: What about Schraeder? If he gets the role as RT, it would be like saying to Matt Ryan "Screw you and eat some sacks".

Two mediocre guards. Typical.

I’m so sick of this team trying to patch hole the guard position in free agency.

Maybe they plan on drafting a tackle?

I would like to  take guard in the first round but yeah I think this signals the end of that hope. We now have four guards on the team as of today that have started in the nfl

6'5" 320 James Carpenter, 6'4" 340 Jamon Brown. Big beefy guys in the interior.

Yep, this is exactly what we needed, both guys are under 30 as well

Great plan. Hope they nail the position in the draft. I think the main reason why Falcons allowed so many pressures and small gains in rushing yards was because of that right side.
