Curious to see what he does at pro day. This man plays super strong in my opinion. Think he can crush more than 19 reps easy

If anyone is seriously thinking this discounts Ford, look at his teammate Orlando Brown last year. Dude had an atrocious combine but was a stud for the Ravens.

Sure, evaluations are part film and part combine performance. But bench is such a useless metric.

He'll do better at the Pro Day regardless.

Yeah Orlando Brown was great for Sooners and then a terrible combine so his stock dropped.

It’s true for all positions that the tape is the most important thing - but NFL Combine tells you less about offensive linemen than probably any other position.   It’s still a good tool but not as important in the evaluation process as other positions.

Reports say he pulled strained something shoulder wise and they could tell how he held the weights in the air after the rep...  He will lift at the pro day

Yes, OL need more than bench strength. Technique and understanding of your system/teammates/specific opponents over time matter more.

a ZBS doesn’t need a mauler but it’d be nice to have one if this is about RG.

Film indeed. the number on the surface seemed odd to me. Which is why single tests mean little in of themselves. Play strong, test weak who cares. Can you play Sundays?

I’m not worried about Fords playing strength.

When he gets hands on you for the most part he vice grips you and the play For is opposite is normally over.

Tell you what though I still like Jawaan Taylor of Florida and I don’t think there’s much in it between these 2.Meetings and medical are things e don’t know so maybe that’s a differentiator.

Taylor will be the first OL off the board.  Looks like a slightly smaller version of Trent Brown

It's a chance he might be gone.... If these teams take 4 QBS like we are hearing I think he will be there.

You can see pretty clearly that Ford's arms are not insanely muscular. Most of his bulk is in his lower body. That's where he gets his anchor strength.

He would be my choice if we go O line. He's big and can play guard or right tackle.
