So you know someone who worked in a sex parlor, sothat makes you an expert ?  There are 9,000 in Atlanta , so your opinion covers all the individua women who work there ?  I think not.

A little bit more than that....I also do 'volunteer' work for an organization that's had success against human trafficking.

Anything else stupid you wish to add?

A massage is like 30 minutes to an hour.  Sounds like a reasonable length work day to me.

I need to back on out of this thread.

I am for legalizing prostitution because it lets a women make her own choices. These women are not not afforded that right in this Asian Orchid establishment.

The song is pro prostitution.

Thanks, I was just pulling up the lyrics to see.

Dang, how depressing.

But see, that's why I take issue with using  the word "voluntary"..

There are no criminal charges to support what you just said there. Not only just convictions. They aren't even charged with that. To be determined.

@Peyton @Vandy

@HMFIC

So this is a volunteer?

According to Perry Russom of NBC10 in Boston, the sheriff in Martin County, Fla. told him there were no days off within the Orchids of Asia Day Spa's prostitution ring, and that hygiene was "minimal" at best. The women involved are understood to have been held there and put to work against their will.”

That's not what the charges are.  Law enforcement overstates the case frequently, but they haven't charged anyone with holding anyone against their will.  I posted an article that detailed that.

So all parlors are the same? If that was true of that parlor, I say close 'em down and lock 'em up, but some women DO VOLUNTEER. Wake up.

If you bothered to read my post, I limited my attention to the Asian Orchid.  I cant speak on the other 8,999 parlor’s out there

Read the article I posted, it's a good critical look at what is happening.

I will.  And I know what you’re saying has truth to it. There are many volunteers.  But don’t close your eyes to the sortid darkside of these parlors

Snyder outlined a transcontinental human trafficking operation: “The tentacles of this go from here to New York to China, in Florida from here to Orange County.” Officials seized between $2 and $3 million in assets, and traced the contours of an allegedly extensive money laundering operation. Women were allegedly moved from location to location within a network of spas, and were not given access to transportation. The women, all from China, were coerced into “graphic sexual activity, very risky behavior.” They were given no days off, forced to service an estimated 1,500 men a year without ever seeing much of the money they generated. From the Treasure Coast Palm:

“It was clear that multiple women were working and living inside the spas. They were cooking on the back steps of the business,” Snyder said. “They were sleeping in the massage parlor on the massage tables.”

While only 25 men have been served arrest warrants, Snyder said he expects that number to eventually quadruple.

Meanwhile, the Indian River County sheriff announced the results of a similar but apparently unrelated bust on spas, with 173 men served with arrest warrants on similar charges. More are being arrested, and as was the case with the busts announced by Jupiter police and Martin County officials, law enforcement is still speaking to victims, with the help of translators, to investigate the trafficking angle. Both Indian River and Martin County officials outlined the same scheme: Poor women pay brokers to come over from China to work what they think will be legitimate jobs as maids or houseworkers, only to be coerced into sex work.”

Everyone should read the arrest affidavit that is easily available online.  The have gone through great detail with regards to every sexual encounter on video, but there is no mention of any evidence that any women are being forced to work there or held against their will or anything like that at all.

Kraft should know better ???   You are assuming the morality of a man you don't know.   HE was ASSUMING it was staffed with voluntary workers. , Lighten up preacher.

Lol nahh dude, if you've been on this earth for 78 years, you should know that massage parlors and illegal brothels are exploitative. He can afford escorts and super models, why is he going to sketchy massage parlors???

You're assuming his innocence more than I'm assuming his guilt tbh.

I doubt that "Exploitation" was on his mind when he went into the parlor.  That's what happens when you let the little head do the thinking instead of the big head.  You are saying that he should have known the employees were sex slaves.  He couldn't possibly have known that.  If he had , he wouldn't go near the place.  He is not a dumb man.  As you pointed out, he had other ways to get "serviced".  I think the word got out, from his rich pals,  that this was a very pleasurable place if you could afford it.  The article said that there were over 150 other arrests , and some with bigger names than Kraft.  A rich boys club for sure.

Woo, the apologism with this post reeks.

Firstly, I never made the claim that they're sex slaves, only that they're exploited. You're putting words in my mouth. Any rational person can tell that if an employee is being asked to perform illicit sexual activities on top of their already required legal work, they're probably being exploited in that case. If we found out that wal-mart employees were giving rim jobs on their bathroom breaks at request of the Walton family, would you find that exploitative?

Secondly, I think you give Kraft too much credit. You say if he knew they were exploited he wouldn't go near the place..what evidence do you have for that statement? All I said was that he *should* know better, which is true. I never made any assertions of his innocence or guilt. But here you are again, making assertions that you can't prove and then accusing me of doing the same thing.

Also, save the insults. They make your argument look weaker than it already is.

I am an Analyst for the Army. I think it would be a stretch to say I hate women, but I get that the cool thing around here is to insult people if we don't understand their point of view. I've been on this board two decades, and it's pretty much always been that way.  Rock on dude, I can dig it.

Lying is never a pretty thing, especially when you are trying to make a point, so stop.  Where is your proof that he "Should have known better", and by what standard . yours ?  Also your assertion that the employees were being exploited has no basis, other than you ASSUME it. No such charge has been made.

Again, if this isn’t exploitative then I don’t understand the definition.  Even if no sex was  involved, which it was, the following is exploitative

Rarely are power asymmetries as stark as those that exist between a man of Kraft’s stature and wealth and the sex workers who toil at places like Orchids of Asia Day Spa. The investigation, which has been going on for months, found evidence that women were lured from China as part of an international human-trafficking ring. They were reportedly not given days off and were not allowed to leave the massage parlors, where they were forced to live, often in squalid conditions.”

And how was Kraft supposed to know this ?  That is the relevant question.

"How is Kraft supposed to know that he's not supposed to go into massage parlors and receive handjobs from Asian immigrants?"

This is essentially your whole argument. Rather he knew they were exploited or not is a different argument, but regardless the dude walked into a massage parlor and requested illicit sexual acts. It's sketchy af and he could easily just hire an independent sex worker or just **** literally any super model. The dude is a billionaire, and we should have higher expectations for people in such high positions of authority such as Kraft.

He SHOULD know better than going into massage parlors and getting handjobs from Asian immigrants. The whole point of what I'm saying is that if you don't know if the sex workers are being exploited or not, then you shouldn't be receiving sexual acts from them. You should just hire an independent sex worker AKA an escort or just pay some supermodel to **** you. He's literally Robert ******* Kraft, if you can't understand elementary level morality then I don't know why we're even trying to have a discussion right now.

Well Mr. Kraft that's it for you, surrender your ownership of the Patriots and report to the nearest prison.  A Georgia preacher has decided that you are evil and demented , so the argument is over.  It has also been reported that  you had sex with your wife once , not in the approved missionary position. Sad..

hey maybe billionaires should just hire an escort or **** a supermodel instead of getting handjobs from potentially exploited Asian immigrants in massage parlors? idk man, I guess that's a lot to ask from some people. To each his own, but you're not free of consequences.

also, this is what my mom does when she loses arguments. deflects and shuts down. it's pretty sad.

Just straight up Anti-Semitism.

That’s a bold accusation and I’d suggest you provide a shred of truth before throwing conjecture.  I was attacking bankers...the fact they are Jewish never crossed my mind until you brought it up 2 minutes ago.

You are too intelligent to make such a blindly ignorant statement.  Please delete the accusation immediately
