WiscoFalcon
This is HUGE. Feels good. This will help tremendously to add depth to the defense.

Eight Track
Didn't see the Saints receiving any early comp. picks. At least they still have their first round pick!!

Panda
Thanks for posting. Hoping we can find some solid players there or maybe using them to trade up for someone we really want

atljbo
yup..... i think this was a big reason why we letting Poole walk the way we are..... We could lower tender him for around 2 mil but some team will sign him for 5-6 mil a year and we would not get any compensation.... If we let him walk the way we are... Its around a 5th round pick (depending on what we do in FA)
Ergo Proxy
Great! About what we were hoping for. We now have 9 picks to play with. 7 in the first 5 rounds technically. What are the rules on compensatory picks and RFA not being tendered? Edited February 22, 2019 by Ergo Proxy

I thought I remembered that in his being non-tendered thread/news. I expect we try to trade back into the 3rd or 4th round with these extra picks at minimum. Maybe package both our 5ths back into the 4th if a guy we just love is still there. We can do a lot with this draft. It’s possible we trade up higher than an additional 3rd; such as getting another 2nd. If we walked out of 3 rounds with 4 picks, you gotta think we have a nice draft already. Personally, before FA happens I’m hoping for DL at 14 or a CB (presuming some LOS needs are done in FA), and grab the best scheme fit OG in round 2; pairing with whatever moves we make in FA. gazoo
We’ve been doing pretty darn good with our 4th and 5th round picks, plucking some pro bowlers out of the mix. I do see us moving around after our 1st round pick this draft to cherry pick players we like. Don’t forget, the Falcons moved up to grab Grady Jarrett which was a brilliant move in retrospect. FalconFanSince1969
Curious how the rams got two 3rds. They went crazy in free agency.... Must have targeted players who didn't count under comp formula.

So to have no comp picks because they bet the farm last season is the icing on the swamp-soggied cake.
