 The cap space will increase:

Julio contract will bring more space

VIC’s restructure contract will net a few more millions

Alex Mack contract will be restructured and giving him so more incentive.

Trufant is the worst contract on the book—they will restructure his contract with some incentives and signing bonuses.

RS has no leverage— they could restructure his with incentives based on performance.

We could easily be over $50 million in Cap space with all of these moves.

The Falcons will have a lot of money to make some moves. It they can accomplish all of this, they can keep Coleman as well.

Man you look at Trufants contract and it’s just disgusting. Dude took us on that one, but hindsight is 20-20.

Nothing will be worse than Sam Baker. Tru isn't a complete liability.

Thats assuming a lot. Its possible but players have to agree to restructure.

I also don't think Julios deal will net us more spending cash. Hes due 13 mil this year but a restructure would likely give him 19mil annually. To drop the cap hit below 13 on that deal youd have to really back load it

Keeping Coleman is silly. Just draft another RB on a rookie deal. Repeat.

A couple of good prospects are Snell and Holyfield, or Ozigbo. All would be good inside zone runners and add a lot to our (non-existent) short yardage run game

Sam was serviceable before he got injured. Can’t really put that on TD.

So was Tru before the rest of the secondary got hurt.

$50M? Think you added something in you were supposed to be subtracting out?

The $20M figure I came up with is best case scenario, and that is if everything takes place the way it is listed. The only way monies could be added to the $20M is by cutting Sanu/Fusco, which I do not see happening, and they would not sign back Irvin or Sambrailo. Without Sanu the Offense would not be as potent, and Fusco has only been given 1-year, too soon to say he was a mistake. Irvin wants to come back and know the Falcons want him back, and Sambrailo could be the best bargain out there.

If they make a deal with Beasley it will cut substantially into the $20M, and if they do not cut Schraeder they will have just enough to carry for emergencies and injuries.

Well we are at $30 mil now - there will be another $6 mil or so from people who count towards the 51 now who won’t once we add higher dollar contracts. Vic could easily add $5-6 mil if we get him to a deal that he is worth in the $7-8 mil range. Add in some restructuring with Mack, Tru, Schraeder (or an outright cut), plus a mil or two from Julio, and it’s pretty plausible to see how that could be the case.

Numbers do not add up, some of the voodoo stuff?

Beasley/Irvin should only play the LEO. Not unusual for that position to be manned by 250 LB players.

Draft a Oliver/Simmons/Wilkins who can play DE as well as DT.

Im absolutely fine with Beasley/Irvin as LEO.  Problem is....Vic has been rendered almost ineffective by LTs....he has had most of his success as a LDE rushing from the strong side.  We then need a strong side DE that fits the mold.  No team had a great defense with 2 different 250 lbs bookends.  Just doesnt happen.  Im down with Oliver as base DE and nickel rusher but then Quinn has to get creative about getting Oliver, Vic, Takk, Grady and Jack on the field.

Completely agree on Oliver.

Do we have enough Cap Space after signing all of these coaches to sign anyone???  Lol

We tried to restructure Quinn's and TD's huge contracts. Quinn said no, but TD said he will do anything to hang around.
