Smitty’s guys:

Matt Ryan, Devonta Freeman, Julio Jones, Levine Toilolo, Jake Matthews, Ryan Schreader on offense, then on D we got Robert Alford, Trufant and that’s it. We could count Ricardo Allen but he was on the practice squad before DQ showed up.

DQ’s guys:

Tevin Coleman, Levitre, Mack, Chester, Sanu. And then the entire remaining defense and rotation were brought in by Quinn.

Idk where you pulled the 73% number out of.

That's not the entire roster bruh, if you gonna play play fair

Career numbers are a terrible comparison. Bryant was an average kicker until he came to Atlanta, and since then he has been absolutely elite. Compare Justin Tucker Stats to Matt Bryant's stats with Atlanta and there is a slight edge in overall FG% 89% to 90%) but Matt Bryant kills him in FG% for 50+ yarders (78% to 70%). There is an argument for Tucker, but to say that he is unquestionabally better than Matt Bryant has been the last 10 years is absolutely false.

Would you rather Bryant or Tucker moving forward? That’s the only thing that matters and I’m taking Tucker.

Yes, I am. I want the veteran with experience in that biggest of moments for a kicker. Besides, he blew out his hamstring MAKING the 50-yarder, not missing it, lol.

So you'd be ok with his blowing his leg out on one kick in the playoffs and then we have to find another kicker in the playoffs because he's hurt? Do you realize how dumb that sounds?

You must have missed all the missed fgs that cost teams playoff spots, playoff games, or even a small.chance to tie the game in a sb. Meanwhile Bryant comes back with 1 leg and is just as clutch as before

So what if he misses playoffs games because he gets hurt kicking a 50 yard field goal? Then what?

It is a very sad day, but to move forward there are a lot of really tough decisions that have to be made.

As someone who has in the past accused the Falcon's of becoming too emotionally involved in personnel decisions, I am happy to see them willing to make these very tough decisions.

Matt Bryant deserves the ROH. An all-time Falcon for sure. I'm just sad he didn't have his chance to ice the Superbowl.

Ok then post the roster lets see who was on that team

You're the one making the claim, you do the work.

Since you refuse to admit you were wrong, left is 2014, right is 2016 This is from PFR, I count 41 players different from 14 to 16, They have 60 players listed from 2014 & 64 from 2016 Don't know why, maybe you had to play "X" amount of snaps or be on the roster for "X" amount of games to make the list. How much money does this save us? There's got to be a financial reason as to why they'd do something so stupid.

It frees up 3 million I believe. Those 3 million which every single fan will gladly take back and give to Matt Bryant if we end up losing the superbowl on a last second kick. Which knowing the Falcons, seems like the only logical conclusion to our season next year.

Unreal man... This team finds ways to piss me off even when there's no football being played.

Finally we made the right decision on kicker. We screwed the pooch with Will Lutz but I am glad we will keep Italian Ice Georgio Tevecchio. Matt Bryant is getting really old and his leg strength isn't what it used to be. I am saying this as an ex soccer player, leg strength goes with age.

Thank you $$$ Matt Bryant for all your contributions. One of the best kickers I've seen.
