I'd rather get a FA guard, draft a guard in the second, and let Ty/Ryan fight for the RT spot. I like the approach and would just give the RT spot to Ty and save millions over the next two years. Not at all. It's hard for a 4-3 team to make a serious financial commitment to more than one LB. Any GM worth his salary should be able to find a competent starting caliber #2 LB in the mid rounds of the draft every few years to replace the last one.

If they were to cut him they probably wouldn't do it until at least preseason because he is only making about 950,000 this year and we'd only save about half that unless we designate him a June 1 cut, which IMO would be a waste. They can always keep him on special teams and continue to try seeing what they can get out of him.The same for Neasman, he will only make about 720,000 and none of its guaranteed so they can keep him on the roster for now, and cut him if need be after TC or during PS. But best case scenario is that we keep him on at a lower end contract this year and he performs well in case we can't find someone else to backup Neal.
mqg96 2,309
The 2019 Falcons are one step closer to 4-12 like 2007 and 2013 if we don't make the correct moves. I'm telling you right now.

FalconsIn2012 35,288
These cuts of veteran players keeps the message fresh. Love Bryant but his cut was simply business. Everyone loves that man. Cornerback and the LINE OF SCRIMMAGE from draft and free agency, and we have to play chess with everyone when making those correct choices. It will be challenging for the front office. Since our Super Bowl collapse, our roster has not improved at all. It has regressed. 11-5 Super Bowl. 10-6 wildcard to divisional round. 7-9 miss the playoffs. That's not improving. With all the cuts we're making due to all these players getting big deals, and after all the coaching changes Quinn just made, this makes 2019 a make or break year. Gonna be a very new roster y'all. Falconcheff 5,487
After reviewing game film of last year, I think I'll be fine with any of the moves this team might make EXCEPT anything regarding Mohammed Sanu... In My Opinion, he was the MVP of last year and deserves his pay and roster spot...

Getting rid of sark and MM was the correct moves.... our core team is still in place.. .I agree hitting Free agency is a must and with the moves so far I'm expecting the "big splash" like the one that brought in Turner and Bryant.. I'm actually excited about 2019 and we havent even truly begun to make legit moves

Why so quick to cut Reed? We aren’t exactly stacked at DE and his deal is manageable. He has done a good job for this team as a rotational piece. Also took a pay cut last off-season. i wouldn’t care either way, but he isn’t our biggest problem by any means.
