How does the Mercedes-Benz Stadium work?

Very Cool! Having been twice, I can say it IS an awesome stadium! I didn't think that the GA Dome needed to be torn down, I thought it was fine UNTIL I went to the new digs. It is so much nicer than the old house.

But that 23 mm dollar bridge to no where!

A terrorists Christmas present waiting to be claimed...only thing is, It matters if people are targeted on the way into the Benz, not on the way out!!

Nothing will stop the event from happening. The event matters more than life?!

The bridge isn't closed because it, in and of itself, is a terrorist target.  It's closed because if used upon entrance, there is no way, logistically, to maintain the proper security perimeter.  Entrance to the Super Bowl is not like any old Sunday Falcons game.  Security checks, and ticket scanning occur much further away from the stadium than at the normal gates.  Officials require anyone remotely close to the stadium to be ticketed, and screened.  Using the pedestrian bridge would allow a by-pass of the established security perimeter.

The stadium is the target, not the bridge.  It will be open leaving the game because all the folks using it to exit the area were screened on the way in.  It's the same principle as airport security maintaining a set distance from departure/arrival gates, and why you aren't screened leaving the airport.

You made my point...get the sheep in...23 mm bridge that won’t be used for ingress of the patrons!

You are attempting to explain logistics to someone who doesn’t see beyond a certain FOX News agenda.

You would get further with talking to your brick wall or family pet.

I miss being able to walk the LOS in the lower bowl concourse at the dome.

I never actually used the bridge because my parking area doesn't require it - so I'm not sure if it's logistically sound - but would it have been possible to set up a security check point(s)  at the outer entrance to the bridge - allowing the fans to still utilize the bridge to enter but maintaining the security checkpoint distance?

May not be logistically possible - just curious.

The PET understands....we are working on the Brick Wall. Pet understands that it is the master and the human is the apprentice.
