kiwifalcon
Wow an incident that happened 3 years ago and he’s payed his dues yet it’s still being held over his head.Yeah I personally think if all facts are taken into play here he should be allowed to attend the combine. Common sense where does this appear in this discussion.
Smiler11
If people don't think this incident will affect his draft stock, then they haven't been following the NFL closely the last few years. Domestic violence isnt tolerated, no ifs or buts.
Cole World
To be fair Joe Mixon wasn't invited either. Simmons will just have to shine at his Pro-day. Edited January 31, 2019 by Cole World

Francis York Morgan
Bad move. But I'd be thrilled if he somehow dropped and we took a chance. He's changed.

And I just don't see TD drafting an O lineman at 14. Especially to play RT/RG. I don't see an elite lineman like Nelson was to take at 14. I'm sticking with Simmons and I believe we double dip in 2-3 on the OL.
datchrisb1
We have a need based philosophy in the first round. The rounds after that, we take into account value more than need. That's how we operate. Quin said as much, keep Matthews, keep Mack, scrap the rest. That's 60% of the O-line. The most important thing you have to do is protect the QB, you win the game up front. Basically, not worried about Simmons because we are picking an O-lineman at 14.
datchrisb1
Man we gotta resign Grady, resign Julio. We going OG or OT in round one. OT or OG in round 2, and whoever we want next to Grady in round 3. Edited February 1, 2019 by datchrisb1

Maybe that should tell me more than anything else, especially when we add in the filter. I still hope there is a worthy OL at that spot, or that someone the size of Dexter Lawrence rates the 14th pick. We desperately need biguns that stop the run on D and flatten people on O. Well, you never get caught on hype and if you do it’s a very lukewarm version.

Wait hold up they were referring to Simmons? Nah that can't be right. They have to be talking about the Clemson kids. All this takes is some back round checking and exercise some common sense.Everyone deserves a 2nd chance.I think Simmons has more than tried to prove this over this time.
