FalconsIn2012
I’ve said it before: you can debate who the best receiver in football is, AB or Julio. Here is what you can’t debate: AB should take notes from Julio on how to be a professional The dude sabatoged their playoff hopes in Week 17. Spat in the face of every loyal Steelers fan Edited January 26, 2019 by Falconsin2012

Spat in the face of every loyal Steelers fan I’m not going to make any assumptions of what happened between Brown and the Steelers but it’s not fair to question how professional Brown is nor blame him for what happened in that final week without knowing the truth. Brown is no different than a regular joe. At the end of the day, Brown wants the respect he deserves(I can say that because James Harrison made that clear) and people have done nothing but point the finger to him and no one else. It’s like some other people said, Julio and other top guys don’t have a reason to show what Brown has shown because they don’t have to deal with what Brown has to deal with. For the last few years Tomlinson has let that locker room go straight to **** yet the only thing people want to do is exile Brown and Bell without actually being in that locker room. Can’t let the media decide every decision us normal people make
Tribal Chief
I typed all of that before reading the article. I think at the end of the day, people outside of that team are going to owe Brown a massive apology for placing bad judgement on him

And Big Ben is a POS, but he confirmed he was the unnamed source who told LaConfora the Brown was benched Week 17 for missing three practices during the week. Brown was homeless for a time and had a tough childhood. Everyone would agree. But he is a 30 year old adult now. You don’t get a free pass forever. And I put much of this on Tomlin, too. nomak
LOL! Why waste the space on the message board for AB? I don't care if he's mad, disrespected or whatever, he signed up to get paid to play the game.

For me though, without actually being there, I honestly don’t take Ben and Tomlin at their word that Brown went AWOL at any point in the season. It could be true but I just don’t trust anything they say. Listening to James Harrison speak on Tomlin, he is a compulsive lier. Tells you one thing and does the complete opposite. In this case he’s telling the media one thing and I honestly think something completely different happened but he’s going to say everything to protect him and Ben. Its hard to look at this and imagine what could have been done different. On multiple occasions you have Ben placing absolute blame on Brown for his **** ups and I don’t recall Tomlin silencing those critiques. It appears they tried to faze Brown out of the offense and like the article says, that backfired because at the end of the day, Brown still produced. This ones a tough one for the outsider looking in

This ones a tough one for the outsider looking in I think you just have an organization where the coach and the QB are both DBs (not defensive backs) and Brown may be one too. You're right to say we don't have enough info to place blame. The questions I'm asking is why phase out a stud like AB? Is Ben jealous he's not the face of the team anymore? Is Tomlin pizzed that Brown won't jump when he says jump anymore? Is Brown at fault for acting like he's better than everyone else and making other people mad? You don't consider trading a dude like AB unless the relationship is too far gone. I'll be watching to see how things go after he leaves Pitt. P.S. He should go play in Cleveland

He should go play in Cleveland I honestly think Ben is jealous. Before Brown you had household names but they weren’t nearly as huge a star as Brown is. Personally one of the reasons i think it blew up is that I think Brown had an issue with how the players started treating Bell and they had an issue with him not following suite. That was strike 1. Then throughout the season you have Ben publicly accusing Brown for mistakes he made as the qb. Strike 2. Then you have the alleged blow up at practice at the end of the season between the 2. Strike 3 you’re out. Tomlin should have had this handled a very long time ago.

Something is happening behind close doors that we don't know about. Personally Tomlin often comes off as an ***hole, especially during media sessions. Who knows what he is like in the locker room. He could also play favorites within the team(like allowing Ben to callout everyone in the organization and not holding himself accountable). I think it’s like what’s rumored to have happen between Hue and Baker. Someone said some things behind the others back and when it got back to the right person, they want to act shocked when **** hit the fan. Professional or not, that’s human nature. I can’t expect them to act any different than I would because they make the big bucks. In this case there was a lot of public talk involved and when the media gets involved, it’s a wrap
Jesus
Since the beginning of time the Steelers have always been a little disfunctional. I think that's how they operate, as long as they are winning. It's amazing that they don't all kill each other. If two of your biggest stars on offense are so crabby, no matter what you pay them, then there are deeper issues that we may never know. I thought the whole purpose of having a discussion is to see each other’s side in a disagreement. When people sit back and falsely accuse me of being this and that instead of actually voicing their opinion and not an articles or someone else’s opinion, that’s when I will get petty just to intentionally piss them off lol. I completely understand. You are direct and seemingly honest. That’s rare. Most use little white lies to make others comfortable. They are malleable to get others to like them. I prefer being direct. Unfortunately, via text or online message, context is impossible to decipher so people end up thinking you’re rude. I also have an extremely dry sense of humor which never translates via text.
