ryantlanta 1,171
Will he finish his career with the most yards? He’s currently 12th all time definitely seems possible as QBs are now playing at a high into their early 40’s. http://www.espn.com/nfl/history/leaders/_/stat/passyards

DogIsYourName 1,069
No, but he will have a respectful statline. Most people have bones made of calcium but Matt Ryan's are made of rubber. So there's a chance he will never break down no matter how many times he gets bent in half.
Falconsfan567 35,212
Matt Ryan is currently at 46,720 yards passing. Since 2011 Matt Ryan has topped 4000 yards passing in every season. That's 8 seasons of averaging 4582 yards per season. If he keeps up that average for 5 more years that puts him at 69,630 yards. That would put him at 5th on the current list, but we're unsure of what the list will look like in 5 years. So, there's a chance depending on how much longer he plays and when Brees and Brady finally call it quits.

If Ryan played 7 years and threw the same number of yards he's thrown the last 7 years - he'd be 1200 yards shy of Brees total yards.
Ghosts of Glanville 3,395
No, because statboy Brees will play until he’s 67 just to make sure no one passes him. . .

octoslash 18,182
Brees is starting to show the mileage though. And his reaction last Sunday was that of a QB who knows the window just slammed shut on getting another ring. I'd be shocked to see him playing more than two additional seasons. I don’t know how much of the saints you watched this year but brees is appreciably declining. He did not look good his last four games. I have a feeling he is one of those players that is going to fall off a cliff.

Of course, knock on wood - and let's hope that Ryan stays healthy - he's done well so far. Still - per game Ryan has 268.5 vs. 264.5 per game for Drew so he still beats him out. He also beat out Manning who actually played 2 more games than him in 11 years - and Marino who had 261 yards per game.

The Saints are depending more on their run game than they have ever done thoughout the Brees/Payton era. Brees' arm is becoming less consistant. Just in the NFCCG I saw passes thrown behind or short of the WR which Brees would've usually made in his sleep. People use Brady as the measuring stick for ageless QBs now, but he has nowhere near the wear and tear that Brees has on his arm.
FalconinPA 12,696
Ryan is quietly racking up tons of yards. It's a tall order, but who knows.

And he thinks nothing of it at all. Plus he's 3rd in TD on that same list, 4th in completion %, 8th in rating, 1st in 4th quarter comebacks, 1st in game winning drives and 5th in wins, That's among all quarterbacks in their first 11 years since 1920
Jesus 25,668
Next year he will pass 50,000 yards and 300 TDs. Only the tenth person on Earth to do that. It's interesting to note how few QBs behind him are even close to accomplishing that. Maybe Stafford. Rodgers will do it but he's played longer than Matt. It could be another decade plus before we see another crop of QBs come that close.
