I refuse to believe that a team with average talent outside of the QB position can out-scheme more talented teams year after year.

Something is up

Consistent coaching. If Shannahan stayed we would start to look like the Pat's.

KC should spend all 7 picks on defense this draft. Good DL, but horrible linebackers and secondary.

Yes. . . they shouldn't worry about offense AT ALL in this draft.

I hate NFL OT rules, both teams should have an opportunity to possess

Yes at least once. Or at the very least make the first team risk going for two to win without the other team getting the ball.

Are you suggesting there is some kind of pro Patriots conspiracy?

The Chiefs D sucks and they exploited it with a quick pass game, neutralizing the past rush.

Where was the time out on d?  Reminds me of something dq would let happe.

The Pats have the perfect storm of having a freakishly detail oriented (GOAT) coach, the GOAT QB (who can afford to take paycuts), a FO who understands efficient contracts, and a terrible division. They're always gonna be in the mix because they dont need many wins to win their division, and they're always gonna be really good because of that QB/Coach.

Being in a weak division absolutely gives them an advantage.

You'd figure he would know that his d is gassed.

He's been doing this for 20 years as an HC. You would think it would catch on at some point.

Yeah, in the NFL its mostly about giving yourself as many chances as you can get. But they're still really good. They dominate teams outside of their division. The teams in their division have just been some of the worst in the NFL since the Pats run started. So they pretty much start each year with 5-6 wins.

This is what I was concerned about coming into this game. At the opening kick off, I told my wife that I do not trust the Chiefs' defense. Chiefs had some miscues, too: missed wide open TD just before the half, Booty Ford lining up in the neutral zone on the same snap that his team got the game-sealing INT, and Walrus standing on the sidelines watching his defense get turned into creamed spinach into OT when he could have used a timeout.

Teams are going to look at the Pats film and learn to exploit the Chiefs D and slow the offense. They won't throw 50 TDs every year.

The NFL really needs to adopt college football playoff rules.

Mahomes not having a shot to end the game is criminal.

I'm guessing he gets another year but at some point they're gonna hand the reins to Bienemy.

I heard of the radio that even if they we t .500 in their division every year they would still be on the playoffs every year. Etc etc. basically saying that even though you're in a weak division you still beat the foo teams pi of division. Just baffles the mind
