It's amazing how bad the Marlins are offensively. They have played 41 games and in 24 of them scored 2 runs or fewer. That's nearly 60% of their games with them scoring 2 runs or fewer.

Miami has been shutout in 9 of those 41 games. They just cannot hit. Can you imagine if they still had Ozuna, Yelich, Stanton, Realmuto, Paddack and Castillo to name a few. They'd be serious contenders with the right mix of role players.

I still can't believe they traded Chris Paddack for Fernando Rodney at the deal line in 2016 because for some strange reason they thought they were gonna make the playoffs.

Mets are reportedly considering firing manager Mickey Callaway in the next few days.

Jacob deGrom has great numbers throwing to one catcher and horrific numbers throwing to another catcher and Callaway reportedly said that he doesn't give a **** about pitchers having personal catchers regardless of what the numbers say. Just one of many reasons he is on the hot seat.

Mets started 9-4 but are now 11-20 in their last 31. They lost 2-0 to Miami tonight and didnt record a hit after the first batter of the game. They got a leadoff double in the first and that ended their offense for the night.

Miami is expected to fire Mattingly. He will finish the season though, at least that's the plan for now.

Cardinals released Luke Gregerson. If you watched him against the Braves you know why. His slider was doing nothing these days. He posted a 7.94 ERA for STL and a 2.11 whip.

How bad is it for the Mets? Cespedes fell and broke his ankle at his ranch today. Cespedes was expected to return from his injury in July.

The Mets also finally benched Cano today. He had two instances of not running out grounders in Miami. He stood in the box for the entire plays.

Braves 2018 1st round pick Carter Stewart has skipped the MLB draft and signed with a Japanese team. Stewart failed to sign with Atlanta over an injury issue. He reportedly gets a little more than $7M for 6 years. He also got a $2M bonus. Stewart is going for money, he makes more in Japan than the minors and can be posted for bidding as an international FA in 2025. If he lives up to the hype in Japan he'll enter his first FA in MLB at 25 years old.

Rangers leading the league in runs scored per game. Young lineup is coming around. Never thought this team would be .500 at this point.

Pitching is still a cluster**** with the exception of Minor and Lynn though.

Good to see Minor doing well. He flashed his potential in Atlanta but battled injuries.

He is a solid starter for us.

I heard that too. The Rangers have been stockpiling young pitchers by trading away quality veterans the last few seasons.

Problem is their rotation  is so thin now they'd be in serious trouble if they try and let go of Minirbir Lynn right now.

I mean, or these young pitching prospects need to find their way to the major leagues now.

Interesting move. Already talk that Boros (Stewart's agent) is using this as an opening salvo to try to get MLB to up the draft pools.

Matt Harvey is not doing anything for the Angels. He gave up 4 HR in 2.2 IP today. His ERA is now 7.50 for the season.
