Some may say "I handed off good as ****" a little punk-ish ;)

Only because of the butthurt being so strong with the Fields transfer.  The obvious difference being that one comment was our of frustration and the other was in an effort to scare off competition.

Frustration from a true freshman after the SECOND game of the season!  That boy has a lot of growing up to do.

What’s interesting about OU taking in Jalen Hurts as a graduate transfer with immediate eligibility... is OU’s own former Austin Kendall is a graduate transfer (as a redshirt sophomore) and OU is blocking him from being immediately eligible to play at any school on their schedule for the next 2 years. Kendall has yet to transfer but reportedly was interested in playing at WVU.

While the NCAA opened up transfers for players to go anywhere they want without requesting a release from the school and waiting for coaches to determine where they can transfer, the NCAA allows for conferences to impose additional rules or handle individual cases of in-conference transfers. The Big 12 actually does not have a rule in place allowing immediate eligibility for in-conference transfers for scholarship players, only walk-ons (which was retroactively applied to Baker Mayfield after he was on scholarship at OU because he sat out a year of his eligibility when he transferred to OU as a walk-on).

Kendall has two years of eligibility remaining, but since he already used a redshirt year he would lose one of his two years by transferring within the Big 12. I imagine if he wanted to transfer to a non conference school that happens to be on OU’s schedule in the next 2 years then that school could successfully challenge OU’s block with the NCAA. He is still looking at his options though and is set to visit Auburn this week.

Yeah I agree. Riley told his guys he wasn’t bringing in any transfer QB. Kendall told them to put his name in the portal as soon as he found out Riley was going after Hurts. Can’t imagine Rattler is happy about being lied to either.

Wonder if Haselwood thinks Riley is fake now too. :lol:

All coaches lie. Just have to figure out which situation is in your best interest. Haselwood is going to put up stupid numbers at OU with Rattler

Oh he’s definitely an elite talent. Really impressed with Rattler too, he looks a little like Mahomes and Mayfield already with his ability. No reason Haselwood shouldn’t put up some video game stats with that offense.

It’s just funny that not even a few days went by and his comments already look even more petty and immature than it did when he said it.

OU already tucked tail. No longer blocking Kendall’s eligibility if he transfers to WVU.

Kendall has a prior relationship with some of the coaching staff at WVU, that was his first draw to the school.

you can bet the big 12 commissioner gave them a phone call as did the ncaa office on blocking a transfer.  it was ridiculous.

Yeah he has growing up to do do which hopefully happens for him. Riley has also decided to let Kendall transfer to WV without restrictions. Backlash got to him probably

I don't see elite AJ Green/ Julio Jones type ability out of Haselwood. He may be more of a Keenan Allen type. I dont think he is that "oh you better double cover him type" of WR. Just my opinion

Bru McCoy is a 5 star athlete, RB/WR. He signed early with USC, in December 2018. Last month.

He requested that his name be put in the transfer portal.

He will transfer to Texas and use the fact that Kliff Kingsbury backed out of his pledge to be USC’s offensive coordinator - something he was apparently promised - as grounds to apply for immediate eligibility.

Won't be long and all college players will be one year free agents.
