Call me crazy, lots of people do!

But I had a motherly instinct that Jalen was going to stay at Bama after all his "WE" will be back next year after NCG.

He applied for graduate school at Bama.

My son is student at Bama and he is majoring in engineering,  where several OL are as well. There is talk that Jalen is seriously considering staying.  He wants to be  a senior at Bama.  Have that legacy and permanent mark at Denny Chimes.

Just thinking....and maybe hoping!

If he wants to make football his career, it’s in his best interest to leave and plat meaningful snaps

As an aside, if Hurts was the QB vs Clemson and the team implemented a run 1st gameplan, it’s possible they win.  Bama gone pass happy.

I really was thinking Saban would have put him in starting the 3rd quarter.  Tua could not really move and get away from the pass rush, Jalen could.

I just wonder if there wouldn't be a plan for him at Bama. If not I think he follows Lockley to MD.

Isn’t Locksley a little pass happy for Jalen?

Engineering at UA is a good choice! It's come a long way over the past decade in Tuscaloosa.

I've heard the rumors that he is considering staying as well. If he does, there is no doubt he is going to be a team captain next year lol. But I couldn't fault him at all if he decides to go. Regardless, he still is an Alabama legend to me. Led the team to 2 straight title games and was instrumental in getting to a third.

yeah he has no business staying at bama and he isn't staying.  he didn't put his name in the portal because he wants to stay.  hurts will come back for his graduate degree after he pursues the nfl..  hurts is a great story for kids to follow because he endured a tough time losing his job and even with his dad trying to get involved he didn't let that affect him and he ended up a hero after many in the bama fan base trashed him this offseason.

I think that is exactly why he would go with Locksly. The worse thing that could happen to him would be to go somewhere that only uses him as a running QB. If he wants to play QB in the NFL, he needs to prove that he can pass the ball.

Locksley has a really good relationship with Jalen and he would make sure he high lights him in the best possible way as a NFL prospect.

Jalen will never make it in the NFL as a QB - won’t happen.

Not trashing him.  Of course he has got to try.  He is a great athlete but will have to switch positions if he wants to be in NFL.

Completely agree!

He has progressed in his ability to pass the quite a bit this year. Not to pour salt in a wound, but he made throws against GA, under big time pressure that he would have NEVER made last year. He worked his backside off this year, stayed loyal to his committment and graduated in 3 years.

I am not saying he can or can't play QB in NFL, but I know I will never underestimate Jalen Hurts again. He has more heart and drive than I have seen in a long time!

Jalen has shown with his limited opportunities this year he can be a great qb. The coaches just haven't opened up the playbook for him to reach his potential. Have you seen his numbers? In his limited opportunities he's done NOTHING but show what he can do. He just hasn't been given a chance to play in a full NFL offense. You just want to trash a kid when you know nothing about him.

Yeah I was impressed with Jalen’s improvement passing from last year to this year.   Do you know how many QBs that are stars in college that can’t make it in the NFL?

I am a big NFL draft guy  - it’s my opinion he won’t make it.

Your “trash the kid” accusation is ridiculous statement.  You go re-read what I wrote and you tell me specifically- quote my words - that shows me trashing him.  Your reading comprehension needs improvement.

That's the great thing about opinions! lol

That’s true!

Hurts doesn’t have to prove that he’s a good college QB but he has long way to go to become viable NFL QB prospect.  I am not rooting against him but I am also emotionally detached - just an opinion that I believe NFL Scouts mostly share now - maybe he can change the narrative with a successful passing year with new college team.

Well, I think that is what we are saying.

He hasn't proved he is a NFL QB due to several reasons, he was used mostly as a running QB and they didn't focus on his throwing. He came back this year to study under the QB coach at Bama, name escapes me right now, for the sole purpose of working on his passing game.

One aspect of Jalen that non-Bama people might not know to the extent that Bama people know is how hard he worked this season, his determination, his heart, and work ethic.

Bear Bryant once said, "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog". I think that applies to Jalen to a tee!

Locksley/Bama OC (now MD HC)

Dan Enos/Bama QB coach (potential new OC)

Again, I am very aware of Hurts, his story, coming back, lost his job, worked hard, didn’t complain, won the SECCG, etc,  - it’s a great story.

So now we find out Enos, QB coach at Bama, is leaving and going to be OC at Miami.

Look like Miami  too might be a place for Jalen IF he leaves.

We have lost almost our whole offensive staff, might expalin a little about the horrible offensive plan Monday night! Or vice verus, Saban chewed them out so bad they tuck their tails and ran!

It's obvious you have something against Jalen. You can't judge him based off the limited snaps he got this year. He played good when he was in and nothing shows he wouldn't have done even better with more opportunities. He's done everything asked of him. If the coaches used him like they should have he would have even better numbers. Take your hate fest somewhere else.

“It’s obvious” ????

I like Jalen Hurts fine.  Don’t have one thing against him at all.  I just don’t see him as an NFL QB.

Try logic.   Try reading.   I just don’t like him in NFL based on his play I have seen in three years while still acknowledging he got better.

You can disagree but that isn’t what you are doing and you are insinuating things I haven’t said - not sure why.  Guess it’s a spillover because we disagree on Justin Fields stuff.

You should be able to separate situations.
