I'm just personally on the Dexter Lawrence bandwagon...340+ pounds and great speed for his size and will solidfy the middle against the run while still be able to collaspe pocket very much Poe like we did see that Poe presence made everyone better on the D-line and he had a similar role at Clemson...OL in FA and DL in Draft primarly I hope Lawrence

I guarantee you if Dexter Lawrence plays here he won’t be playing at 340 + I’ll put money on it.Also if the above is picked at 14 you best believe he better be a 3 down player because if h isn’t forget Lawrence at 14.

Wilkins isn’t a finesse guy

Wilkins is so athletic I think people see that and just think Finesse but he's athletic like J.J. Watt is athletic to me. You can throw him wherever you want. DT, DE, FB, TE  He'd get it done.

He plays so discipline too, knows when to sit in his spot and let the play come to him or when he needs to attack and **** up the offense.

He has the nastiest disposition on the field

His so violent when he gets to the QB, he swings those arms like hammers and drills the ball out. Even when he doesn't get it out you know the QB is gonna feel that smack on the next few plays.

I'm just talking about how he rushes/against the run. Finesse and nasty aren't exclusive. Dude is a penetrator, not a pocket pusher. Goes around, not through

I want to like Wilkins but man.... Again to me he gets moved off the LOS way to much to be 315... Maybe thats a part of his game that can improve... I be wanting to see him bullrush and dominate a blocker.

With Williams... Mannnnnn he would be a beast next to Grady.. The problem is... We would have to make a Julio lite type trade and thats not happening... We would have to trade our 2019 1st, 2nd and 2020 2nd round pick at the least

Thats why  his game is finesse to me... Doesnt mean he is soft .... I love how the guy penetrates

.. I just want to see a lil more power in his game... A lil more stoutness in the run game

Does he have the tools to bring a little of that to his game with NFL Coaching ?

I do think his game is exactly what Dan Quinn likes tho.

I think the far more interesting angle on this is that "Donald" in March 2014 wasnt/isnt Donald in 2018.

A lot of us like him a lot. I'm sure I posted dozens of times about how impressive he was. But he any of us knew he was going to be an immediate DPOY candidate, he obviously wouldnt have been around long enough for the Rams to draft him with their second pick.

And yet.....every single year, people default to talking about the draft like its a perfectly efficient market where each player is a full defined asset.

Its crazy.

I thought he had better film than any college DL I'd ever seen and said so. A lot of people on here liked him, but many said he was a reach at #6 because of his size. The common phrase was "if he falls to our second round pick". Yeah, fat chance of that.

The same probably applies to Williams. He's similar to Donald but bigger. I haven't really evaluated his film yet tho. So idk if he's worth the trade up.

I just love how you can pull these 'facts' straight up out of your @$$.

We can talk about this when you get back from your vacation.

He’s good but you have to be careful with our hype. Our system means more than most think and the halo effect is strong. Our best safety to come out in years is Eddie Jackson who this board thought little of. Keep that in mind.

Wanted Jackson in the draft. He went to my 2nd team at least. Lol

I concur with you on Wilkins. We already have someone like him on the team..GJ.

I prefer a NT. And no to quinnen.

Think about the NFL prospects Pitt has produced of late: Donald, Revis. Shady, Fitzgerald...

We can grab a NT in FA for a very very low price

nobody is paying for pure run stoppers like that now .. He didnt even get 2 mil this year..... But im saying a vet like Peko or Love... Maybe Kerr.. or Ngata .... Its a boat load of them guys out there in FA

They only will play around 25% so you are not spending alot but you are getting a run stopping.

In the draft im still a big Jeffery Simmons guy... I think  you can get a guy very stout vs the run and can rush the passer.

I also still have high hopes for Senat as a stout DT

Every body wanted Hankins last year and seemed comfortable paying him big bucks.

I forget we would need the run stuffing specialist for not every down. But it's nice to have a fletcher Cox in there. The reason I think eagles d line was good is they had Cox and ngata together.

Why not get two run stuffers?

the Cox comment is one of the many reasons i like Simmons... I think Simmons playing weight will be 310-315 similar to fletcher cox

I still like Senat,,,, I want to see what he can do in the run game with a year under his belt... He was solid.. but i do think we need to add a big stout DT.... I dont think it has to be a 330lb guy but adding a stout guy is needed

You think Cox would weigh more. He rarely gets pushed off tha los in the eagles games I've seen. Senat, aka the fireplug, will hopefully get stronger and be a guy with good leverage. Hopefully he is developed well by the staff too.

Because Jarrett and Senat can do what you mention.

Like JBO mentioned if you throw in a guy like Simmons or get that run stuffer for cheap while maybe getting lucky enough to get your hands on an Oliver or Williams the dline is set for years and has more options player wise to rush the passer.

It would be nice to get a perennial star like l Suggs on the d line. Hopefully we have one in GJ.

I'm concerned that we have done just that- get situational run stuffers in, but for one year or so, and they're out.  If we go DT first round; I hope Simmons or whoever we land can be that long term solution on the d line.
