Whats the Pats identity? Truly? Being cheap?

They change strategies week in and week out.

In all honesty, so do the Saints(when they are successful).

Patriots identity is the consistent Super Bowl favorite.

In Brees early years the aints were a pass heavy (Brees avg 120 more passes per year then anyone else in the NFL for 10 years *650 PA)

They are now balanced (Brees avg last 2 years is around *517 PA)

Quinn could have looked at the past decade of this teams roster and seen that we have been undersized on both lines for most of that time and it results in us giving up leads late. Why can the average joe see this team is always 20 lbs under weight on both lines and we get thrown around like rag dolls and they coach can't see this?

This fast finesse crap should not apply to your OL and DL. It does not work, you need size and strength to mix in with your fast skill position guys to create a balance and to also allow for situational personnel groupings. You need size to stop short yardage situations on D and to go for short yardage situations on Offense. When all our guys are 20lbs under weight on the lines it makes that difficult

I've said the exact thing.  We have a number of undersized guys who get ran over by physically dominating teams.  A number of these guys shy away from contact or can't tackle worth a darn.  You want guys that hit you in the mouth Dan?  Go get the guys that play that way in college or with another team all the time.  Not just sometime.

We as fans have got to finally see results! It's time for all this talk to come to fruition!

Agreed.  We spent this whole season with talk, e.g. "Fast & Physical", "we like who we have in the building", etc.  Thankfully it looks like action is being taken, and I am looking forward to seeing if the actions keep coming.

Going to go with "Attitude" over "Nasty".  I will say the below players usually play with an extra large chip on their shoulder.

Offense:  Julio, Sanu, Hardy, Free, MR2, Hill

Defense:  Grady, Jack, Takk, Bruce, Keanu, Debo, Rico, Kazee, Dre, Poole.

Special Teams:  Bethel

Guys who I think do not play with enough attitude on a game to game basis.

Beasley and Trufant

You left out Mack

I think Quinn is a good coach and will be a good HC. I don't think I'd have him on the hot seat next year, I'd give him a few more years. I wouldn't just fire him for not making the Superbowl or not deep in the playoffs. It would take a full fall apart next year. If he shows improvement next year, i would probably be patient.

In today's hyper climate, no coach is going to get patience.  Too much social media, message boards, etc.  He'll need to make the playoffs next year, or he'll be fired.

Keanu, Grady, and Mo come to mind pretty quickly. Takk is on the cusp of "nasty" IMO.

These guys have been physical at times.  Problem is none are consistently physical.  Mo is probably closest to the most consistently physical player who looks to dish out punishment.

The proof will be in the pudding.  **** I think if we keep Clayborn we are in the playoffs this year.  He was consistently nasty.  Dude had super violent hands and could get pressure all the time.  He couldn't close it all the time but he did a fantastic job of getting the QB off his spot with speed rushes and rip moves. Man I miss him.

Quinn remember his elite Seahawks defense.  He had dogs!!!  Bennett, Mebane, Avril, Wagner, KJ, the entire secondary. It was a real mindset and attitude thing but they also were all very talented. I have no patience for the guys who don't go after it every play.  Trufant and Vic are especially frustrating considering how they were both probowlers at one point and now they only flash from time to time.  Trufant gets more flack than he deserves but he has been on a decline for a couple years since injury.

Lets see....that's all I can say.

We have nasty players... I'm thinking coach talking about on the lines... when your team can't get a 3rd and 1  by the running the ball... You need some rough riders up front

Deion Jones, Julio, Matt ryan, neal, kazee, poole, rico, takk, and Grady play with that edge ...

I just think it's a coupleasure of fogs on the Lines we need to add

The thing is DQ has a clear vision and is seeing it wasn't followed through fully like he likes. You guys can hate the "catch phrases" all you want, but yall have begged for brutal honesty every year and you finally get some and it's not enough.

We all saw this team was soft. Yall begged DQ to call it like it is all season in his press conferences. He's been nothing but blunt since the season ended. To constantly see this team, particularly the defense, get pushed around is not what he envisioned when he came here. He's on the path to make the appropriate changes he sees fit.

What exactly did Clayborn do up in New England?
