Posted January 3 (edited) No threads yet ? Did y'all listen to that? Lots of nuggets in there to me, Quinn gameday duty will change with him calling the def, and no they will not bring in another DC he is dead set on being DC They are candidates in the playoffs we are going to interview still They got tons of calls for the OC position, and are taking thier time will be no announcement in the next few days. Grady and Julio will get done. Also there were many players who they thought would step up that did not, once the I juries hit, to me this should be primarily directed at our corners. Posted January 3 I was on a conference call so could not listen live and no replays yet. 92.9 guys putting their spin on it and Lt. Dan (Unintentional Grounding) has a stream going.
Posted January 3 Also they did say they are working on extension for Beasley which means we won't be paying 12m for him and they feel there is def a place for him here. Emmitt, Drew4719, Geneaut and 1 other like this

Posted January 3 Also sounds like he wants Bruce Irvin. I think that'll get done. Everyone on IR is on back on track for TC. Quinn mentioned Foye a few times and talked about first to second year leap. No mention of Duke. Quinn said they're going to be looking for a gameday management coach...to help with situational timeouts, challenges, going for two or not, etc...hallelujah HASHBROWN3, Artys Arryn, Ryan2Julio11 and 25 others like this

This is awesome news along with Quinn running the defense. I wish they had done this prior. Everyone saw how good the defense became towards the end of 2016 with DQ running the show. Get someone who knows how to manage the game situations and we are golden as long we don't screw up the OC hiring. Posted January 3 TD said they're going to focus on the 2s and 3s more (depth)...TD took the blame for lack of depth Also mentioned Kazee as a player that took a big leap. Foye was the other. Ergo Proxy, IfTheBirdsCouldTalk and Geneaut like this

I guess every HC is different... Quote During his first full off season, back in January, McVay hired Jedd Fisch, who had spent the previous season as the offensive coordinator, and two games as the interim head coach at UCLA following the dismissal of Jim Mora Jr. His official title when he was hired was Senior Offensive Consultant, which makes a ton of sense when you figure Fisch has been a coordinator at the college level with recent stops at both UCLA and Michigan, as well as at the NFL level with the Jaguars. On his weekly conference call last night, McVay noted the specific game day role on staff that he carved out for the veteran coach. During games, Fisch’s role is as a “clock management specialist,” helping the young McVay navigate not only scheme situations on offense, but also those issues that proved to be a challenge for him in his first year as a head coach like when to use those timeouts, and clock management.
