Truly glad we won - It's not where but who you pick!

I want the Falcons to win every single game they are in.    Every game.   New England picks late every year - and they do well in the picks they make for the most part.

Looking back from 2008 until 2018 - I will show the 7th pick, 14th pick - and some names picked after the 14th pick by year.

Been making posts since last week when I was told that once in a generation star is in the top 10. Not always the case. 14 of the top 20 leading pass rushers this season are outside of the top 10 with 1 being undrafted. It's never about draft position, it's about the player. No one knows how good any player will be nor can they predict career threatening injuries. Not a single analyst or "expert" can tell you anything about what a player can do in the NFL. Players slide beyond their predicted spot every year

I mean, your chances of getting the right player go up when you get to select before the other teams do.  We fell 7 SPOTS based on yesterday's win.

It doesn't mean we aren't going to get some great players.  It just makes that more difficult.  Think about Alabama and UGA getting nothing but 4-5 star recruits -- it doesn't mean they'll all be great, but is sure helps your odds!

On the NFL Top 100 list from this year - I've highlighted the guys in the top 20 who fell outside the top 7 pick:

1. Tom Brady - 6th round - 199 overall

2. Antonio Brown - 6th round - 195 overall

3. Carson Wentz - 1st round - 2nd overall

4. Julio Jones - 1st round - 6th overall

5. LeVeon Bell - 2nd round - 48th overall

6. Todd Gurley - 1st round - 10th overall

7. Aaron Donald - 1st round - 13th overall

8. Drew Brees - 2nd round - 32nd overall

9. Von Miller - 1st round - 2nd overall

10. Aaron Rodgers - 1st round - 24th overall

11. Russell Wilson - 3rd round - 75th overall

12. Luke Kuechly - 1st round - 9th overall

13. DeAndre Hopkins - 1st round - 27th overall

14. Calais Campbell - 2nd round - 50th overall

15. Rob Gronkowski - 2nd round - 42nd overall

16. Khalil Mack - 1st round - 5th overall

17. Jalen Ramsey - 1st round - 5th overall

18. Ben Roethlisberger - 1st round - 11th overall

19. Everson Griffen - 4th round - 100th overall

20. Alvin Kamara - 3rd round - 67th overall

15 out of 20 fell outside the 1st 7 picks - 75% of the top 20 players in the NFL (voted on by players) were picked below the coveted #7 spot.   11 out of 20 fell below where we are currently slotted to pick - 55%
