Seattle in the playoffs...

Other than the what I posted above let's talk about the other reason.

Four teams, or 25% of the NFC, were all playoff contenders until injuries.

We lost 3 Pro Bowlers in week one(Freeman played a few series later but came right back out and went to IR).

Packers had arguably the best QB in the league injured for half the year.

Redskins had their first two QB's get broken legs.  They had a winning record before this.

Panthers had Cam get injured.  They were 6-2 at the time.

The Seahawks and Vikings basically made the playoffs because removing these four teams and the bottom dwellers there is no competition for the spots.

No actually I'm not. You are praising Pete Carroll for making the playoffs this year and making it like he,always makes the playoffs and Quinn is a failure.

Every team..sans Pats..have up and down years. Period.

No, praising his no name defense.  But our "ALL WORLD" defense cant tackle, cover, contain, etc..

I know Griffin.

Frank Clark was highly rated coming out of Michigan, but had issues. Carroll loves those players. He is a beast

Jarran,Reed is,a stud. We all, know about KJ Wright and Wagner. Quinn tried to get that Duo in ATL with Campbell and Deion. You can'treplicate those 2 guys though.

I know Griffin, Wright, and Wagner. Haven't even heard of those others. So Carroll found players to fit HIS system. Interesting........

Even after losing Irvin, Chancellor, Thomas, Sherman, Bennett, etc....

True, but you alls defense had multiple DCs and is still rolling.

The biggest factor the Seahawks success this year is their ground game. Not hard to have success on defense when the offense is limited.

But this last game the Chiefs still hung 31 on em at home. So that defense isnt as stellar as you think.

In the last 2 years, our Defense has been aging and losing its BAM. We went young and some of the cast offs were still playing at a high level. But they became High Paid Problem Children, Sherman. When they reach the cliff, you must clean up shop and they stopped buying into the program. They hear it all the time and eyeroll. Well, they need to understand that the eyeroll dont work all the time. New kids pick up on the old kids antics and forget the real message is from the Coaching staff. Bill B in N.E. will not let that happen as he rotates people in and out a LOT. They never get stale there because they are not there that long. One more thing about our second contract guys, NONE understand that they are ENTITLED to a JOB. When they cant perform, they need to find a different location to work. Part of them were entitled to their position because they were playing at a high level and they took the entitlement to mean they could do what they want. It is a business and they got pink slips because of it.

How many points would the Chiefs and Mahommes hung on our "fast and physical,  all gas no brakes" defense?

Let me tell you why these are the worst arguments to have..

You are comparing a team that was prepared to move on past players and had a whole offseason to prepare there guys to a team having there roster set and important players getting hurt during to the season and having to adjust to that...

Two totally different situation.... Even with Earl Thomas,.. trade talks was going on during the draft.. ... The Seahawks drafted Safeties Tedric Thompson and Daleno Hall last year (2017) to get prepared to lose Thomas and Cam

At DE they already had Frank Clark (who can play that Bennett role rushing inside and out) and last year Dion Jordan balled out so they felt they can move on....Last year Reed was good.. this year he looks like a stuf and they also drafted Rasheem Green (a guy who can also rush inside on pass down)

My point is you are talking about 2 totally different situation... One team that was setting up to replace guys compared to your impact guys getting hurt during the season

i did feel like it took our team to long to adjust to the injuries we had and thats on coaching.... I do think the guys we are missing are our real impact guys.... Neal and Deion Jones are our attack the LOS guys and our creating turnover guys....Coach bought up how our coverage on D changes wen Dion Jones is playing... We can play more man coverage...

Even Pff brought this up

How different could the Falcons’ season of been if not for an early injury to Deion Jones? He started off the game struggling to get ahold of Christian McCaffrey, but by the end, we were starting to see glimpses of one of the best linebackers in the league.

I get what you are saying.  Everything you said is truth. My problem with the Falcons is EVERY year its something...:(  I mean.  When they was up 28-3 on the Patriots and the Patriots started coming back I EXPECTED the Falcons to lose.  Its always something. Next year the excuse will be the players are adjusting to new coordinators...
