Link is above. Don’t know if it’s actually legitimate or not. But this could put the Falcons is a tough spot. Franchise tag coming?

UPDATE: seems like Archer jumped the gun.

He was always going to be close that Donald money anyway, no shock here.

The Rams really did make things tough on other teams by what they paid AD. Anyone who has a DT that's in the same convo as AD is gonna get paid.

Jarrett isn’t even in the same atmosphere as Donald. Donald got paid what he deserves

Nope can’t do it but knowing our FO they’ll fold quicker than origami. Smh he’s not worth AD money, nowhere near it. Jarrett aint Donald, his agent is as fool as Kristine.

You obviously dont pay attention to TD if you think he will give Grady Donald money

That lies the problem. Jarrett is not in the same ballpark.

Hes not even in Top 5 of DTs in sacks...

His contract should be $12-15 mil, no more....

If this team wouldn’t pay Poe $8 mil/yr on a multi year deal, they can’t pay Grady...

Hes not worth it...

Yeah. Okay. He's been above average since he's played here, but he's not a top 5 DT. Aaron Donald, Chris Jones, Gerald McCoy, Fletcher Cox, and Geno Atkins are in the top tier. Grady would be lucky to be in the top 10 on his better days.

They need to look Jarret & his agent straight in the eyes & tell them that he’s not in Aaron Donald’s league yet.  Therefore we cannot pay you for performance on that level.  Force them to show proof of that level of dominance.  They cannot.  Nor can any other DT in the league.  I love me some GJ & hope we lock this man up for at least 5 years though.

Donald - 6 years, $135 million ($87 million guaranteed) - $22.5 million/year, Defensive POY, 5 Pro Bowls, 2018 NFL Top Player #7

Jarrett - ? years, $? million, 2018 Week 15 Defensive POTW, ZERO Pro Bowls, not even in top 100

Grady is good and valuable but the guy is not even comparable to what Donald has done so far in this league.  If the Falcons were to even try to pay him this much, they might as well not plan to resign Deion Jones, Keanu Neal, and would certainly dump Beasley before March 1.

I really sense that with this dumb agent around that Grady is going to have to be franchise-tagged and actually will probably risk having an injury in 2019 or a decline in performance that will cause his value to decrease.

He is probably worth a 4-5 year deal at $50-$60 million but not twice that like Aaron Donald got.  Any team that did sign him to a Donald-like deal is a bunch of idiots in the long term.

And look at what is happening - the draft is suddenly becoming flooded with Defensive Linemen as college guys in these positions are coming out early and high school players are focusing on the defensive line (as opposed to offensive line or linebacker positions).  In a few years, we will suddenly have a glut of defensive linemen in the NFL and all the veteran DL who had been wanting big contracts will be begging just to have jobs.

im sure i do good sir lol

Well you should know in good negotiations there is compromise. So I fail to understand why you think they gave in to Free and Julio when neither are the highest paid at their position
